Hi Seth, love the positivity despite any setbacks life throws your way! Keep on moving forward. 🤙 I over pronate but actually prefer neutral running shoes as it keeps me mindful of my foot positioning. Recently decided to pick up a pair of Puma Velocity Nitro 2s and haven't looked back since 🔥

@@ernestsimmons4499 Appreciate the reply Ernest 🙏 I'm currently injured sitting at home and it is BS and it does suck! However, we can only work with what we're given, as they say. I think Seth is doing a killer job of staying as active as possible through the injury providing content (continuing to make a living for himself). If that makes me a fan-girl for commenting and giving support.. I guess I'm guilty as charged! Thank you for the energy Ernest, wish you all the best. 😉

I have been running on Guide 15’s and the day I put on them Tempus there was no going back. Totally different feel, lighter, more cushion with Power Run PB, and can run longer distance. So to me they’re not close, running on Tempus felt so good I got a second pair just in case.

Great review, Seth! The Tempus has been my favorite shoe of the year so far. It’s been the perfect compliment to balance out the squish of the Invincible Runs I use for my easy days and long runs. Saucony hit it out of the park with this one.

Hey Seth, I am a stability Runner I have been impressed by saucony this year for there shoes I was always wearing asics and new balance mainly the Vongo and the gel kayano 29 But Recently Bought the Guide 15 and love it. I wasn't sure if I should buy it but after watching the review I couldn't resist and I really love it Thanks Seth!

Excellent comparison, Seth. Thanks very much for sharing! I like the ride and speed2 but the tempus looks like a combination of the 2(with the guide mixed in as well). I’ll check it out.

QOD: I wish I could go back to my old Sauquoit Valley high school XC days and relive the training and racing with our old coach and old team from 2000-2004. Some of the best memories and years of my life. Not only did we have a phenomenal team on the performance side, but we were like a family and we owed it all to the great guidance of one of the best coaches anyone could ask for.

As a runner with weird narrow, over pronated feet ( wear orthotics) I was really excited for the Tempus to arrive, there was so much hype on the shoe and it's stability I couldn't wait to try it, I was really disappointed, there was a lot of space in the toe box and lacked the medial support I was looking for. I went back to the Guide 15, which gave me a better fit but still not nearly the medial support I need. They are both good shoes for that neutral runner but would lean toward to Guide 15 for the better fit. Sent both shoes back and I continue my search.( I'm currently running in the Asics Kayano Lite 2 and Gaviota 4 that have been very good.)

Thanks for giving you review on the Tempus. I overpronate and have foot injuries. I was wanted to buy the Tempus, but the medial post didn't look like it had much support so I bought another brand.

The stability crowd thanks you! I feel we're one stride closer to a battle between the Saucony Tempus and Hoka Arahi!

Yes. That would be a great battle. I've been in Arahis for a few years now and it's a great show for stability runners. I've got about 100 miles on the Tempus and I like them for faster tempo type runs. I keep going back to the Arahis for longer mileage I think because the Hoka's rocker just feels better when tired. Both really good shoes.

I have both. Guide has a better upper fit (for my foot) but the Tempus is better in every other category. I think Seth is underestimating the durability of the PWRN PB midsole. Think about the mileage people are putting in the Speed 2. Tip: put the Guide's PWRN+ sockliners into the Tempus and it gets even more comfortable.

Great comparison, Seth, and the Saucony Tempus looks like a real game changer! I should consider it as my marathon shoe. I'm not sure though that the 'PB' stands for 'personal best' as it rather refers to the PEBA-based foam which is used here. Get well soon, greetings from Edinburgh!

Why don't you give some points also for stability (in the matrix or outside it as a separate score)? I think it is an important factor for plenty of runners and more than a few would benefit from stability as a way to reduce their injury risk.

Early in your video you mention either shoe will work for neutral runners who don't prefer much assistance through heel strike to keep your feet aligned correctly etc ..Isn't the Guide "THE" shoe Saucony makes for runners with pronation issues ? This is my greatest issue with not only the shoe manufacturers but with reviews . The term neutral runners is self explanatory but the term 'stability' and "support" are used in place of each other at times as if they are the same thing and they are not . I have worn both types of running shoes and I can feel a huge difference in what they offer my feet as far as support . I do not find the Tempus offers me anywhere near the support as the Guide 15 -they are two different shoes in my experience . Anyone have anything to offer to explain why someone who NEEDS the Guide would ever feel the Tempus works better for him or her ? Love to hear replies .
@DJ-he1zc
@DJ-he1zc Жыл бұрын
Should have added _ for runners with neutral preference sure the Tempus works -- but anyone with a pronation issue ...why would the Tempus be the shoe to go to ? I don't even understand why so many of the reviews I found on youtube recently decided to match these two shoes in the same colors no less ( thats weird ) in a comparison . I can't see a runner with over-pronation issues finding relief in the Tempus ? These shoes are quite different in my experience . I walk / jog /sprint for 30 -40 miles a week on road /grass / track and have stopped using the Tempus completely .

Hey Seth! I sometimes wear a stability because they feel good...the Guide 14. I don't overpronate or anything and have been recommended for a neutral shoe. I weigh about 210 pounds and do like 3-4 miles at a time. On my feet constantly...I am a waiter. Is it ok to wear a stability shoe every once in a while??? They feel good

buy shoe instore. Order mine online. Saucony tempus is too narrow and had to return it. The arch support is hard for me, also. The Saucony Eph instore was much better but tad narrow. Didn't want to buy extra long. I have flatter feet with little arch and wider. New balance 1080 fits me better. On and Nike are good too. Saucony are too narrow, why I guess I tried them long time ago and never bought one.

When I realized I'd gotten PF from over pronating and having flat feet, I briefly thought stability shoes was the solution. Happy that I ended up going in the opposite direction, towards more minimalistic shoes and building arch strength instead. Not yet free of the PF, but my gait and strength is coming along slow n steady, and I believe it's only a matter of time before I'll be able to run pain free again.
