When and how would a comma be used, when introducing something or someone such as a book title or author name. How is it used when put in a introduction of a sentence?
@SetteleTutoring3 ай бұрын
They’re not going to test comma rules around book titles or dates or anything like that. Commas are often used to join an intro clause to an independent sentence. Intro clauses come in infinite varieties. My advice is to do some grammar practice questions, and you’ll see tons of examples.

Its very diffucult to understand. Could you elaborate on a simple way.

I’m not sure how to put this, but this video IS the simple way. These are the most important punctuation rules, but they get much more complex when they are incorporated into questions. I recommend watching all of the videos in the playlist below. There are some videos that give a general overview of important rules, and others that focus in detail on one specific rule. The lessons include examples, but then I recommend watching my playlists of grammar questions from the Question Bank to see how we know which rules to apply in actual questions. kzbin.info/aero/PLlvPF6rDVN_sI7_GMkQzL6I4W8is0pCte

Whenever you said it is likely that periods and semicolons are both wrong if the rest of the sentence is the same, and when you said colon and dash are both wrong if they are the same otherwise. Are there any exceptions? You saying likely makes me worried I'm missing something
@SetteleTutoring3 ай бұрын
One exception would be when the wording changes between the choices. Another is if the semicolon is used for a complex list, but that would be obvious. And if there’s a double dash, then that’s not the same as a colon.

Will the actual test be easier or harder? Kinda nervous because I have only more than a month left. My score is around 1200-1300 but I wanna get 1450+.

I have my SAT on August 24 and I can only score around 1300+ but I want to get 1400+ :(

@@jiggyWLRsame I have mine on August 24. I still haven’t done the blue book excersizes I am scared. I am aiming for 1400+ bas it isn’t looking easy. Math is easy I guess but not standard of deviation. Grammar is easy now the summery is easy, but the reading isn’t 😢
