Thank you, this was a very helpful video to watch and learn how to trap the armadillos in my yard. It was easy to understand and I especially appreciated learning about their habits. I'll be gathering my materials and hopefully set up tomorrow night.

I’ve had several wire-type traps destroyed by large armadillos. The really big ones just bulldoze their way out. The wood traps with drop-slot doors are the solution. Plus, a seasoned wood trap doesn’t need guide boards.

The armadillos here in Florida ripped through two of that style trap before I got a better one. I bought mine from Tru Catch (not affiliated) and it has held up for over 2 years and 40+ Armadillo later.

You did an excellent job explaining, demonstrating & filming this short video. Help! What would your suggestion be if armadillos are invading an open area, (no fence line, shrubs or bushes near by? The open area is filled with colored mulch surrounding a large oak tree.

Hey, the armadillos are just out looking for bugs, so just use the wings along with the trap to funnel the armadillo to the trap.

Be careful when handling armadillos, since they can carry leprosy.

An armadillo will destroy this cage trying to get out. There are better options for trapping armadillos.

and those options are... what? Details Dave, Details would be nice.

Love how you didn't actually include what a better option would be. Clear indicator of someone just wanting to sound smart
