Antarctica's main land is out of bounds for petty tourists. Only the research team on official duty can land on it. Tourists are limited to peri Antarctica islands only. This is to protect the environment...

Medical work is mostly emergency procedures and management... Injuries, frostbite and other cold climate related medical issues... Also you need to conduct a basic fortnightly health check up for all members. Basically you are on-call 24/7 for that 1 year. Living conditions are good. You will have your own room, central heating, hot water and everything.

Ha ha...😂😂... Your body slowly gets accustomed to the temperature once you start staying there ... That person was our station leader and he had been at Antarctica already for the past 2 months... And the temperature that day was around -8 degrees... Midwinter, we were so accustomed to the cold, I could easily withstand -20 temperatures outside for around 10 minutes in my t-shirt 😂😂
