Never heard of a vision board or this magazine. What an appropriate outlet for you. A scrapbook of things you love and ways to express your thoughts. Being a scrap board gives you time to enjoy on a regular basis. Almost like a journal. I am not asking for personal thoughts of your husband, but does he enjoy your lovely style? In my past most men still enjoy a lady in a skirt or dress. I think as women we get into the grind and forget the small things in our life. You helped me remember my appearance always to be lovely each day and remembering how lovely my husband thinks I am. You make me want to enjoy each day and each moment. Great video! I like the idea of making a vision board of images and words that appeal to you rather than a focus on actual goals for the year. I can see it being a reminder of who I am and what I love instead of goals sort of hanging over my head and reminding me of what I should accomplish during the year.

Yes, that is what I felt more drawn to as well. It was a fun project. I look at the vision board I often!

Hello Suzanne, I really appreciated your video today. I don’t have any magazines but I really liked what you did and what it has meant to you. As far as your old wedding ring I would keep that because it was your first one. Someday you might want to have a new stone put into it. Something like that I would not give away. I aspire to follow the same aesthetic and i watched your previous video as well , it becomes easier if you do a decluttering like this once or twice a year. Love your vision board! I have never seen the Victoria magazines but I can see why it was such a hard decision to cut them! I have been on the decluttering journey for a few months and am finding I kept too many things so will be another round through them 😊

Getting rid of the clutter is making my life so much more enjoyable. There is so much value in having a calm and orderly space. So much so that I have realized that no material object is worth more than my peace of mind!

Hi Suzanne, I a coming along with you on your journey. I will start on my closet with an end goal of decluttering the bedroom I use as an office. One tip for you on vintage jewelry, invest in a small good quality loop so that you can examine jewelry looking for makers marks and gold marks. This will clarify their true values. What a lovely vision board! I like the black background. Years ago I ruthlessly decluttered and got rid of my Victoria magazines. Now I regret that I got rid of those because I'd like to make one of those boards! That's about the only thing I can think of that I got rid of that I regret. Is the wedding ring gold? If so, then hang onto it. Gold is worth $$$. Maybe some day you can have it repaired or refashioned. The bird earrings are so cute! I know cute isn't your vibe, but I would tell myself that they kind of look Victorian. You are so clever to have such a strong sense of what you really like and want to have in your life. --Barbara

Hi Barbara, I really do love those Victoria magazines. I’m glad I got to use them in this way. But nowadays we have Pinterest. It’s still nice to look at a real magazine now and then. New magazines are so expensive, you might as well buy a book 😅

Suzanne, what a lovely video, thank you for sharing though I have to say I don't think I could cut up my Victoria magazines!! I reread them in the season they focus on as their beauty and messages are timeless. It is what I browse through at the end of my day. I have about 30 of them. Your vision board is lovely and inspiring. I haven't made one in a few years. I have begun creating junk journals and glue books. And yes, this activity reminds me of those hands-on creative times as a child. I think your word for 2025 might be "savor"... PS Did you keep the beautiful white dress?

Hi Leslie, I think you know how hard it would be to cut into those magazines!! I do love them. They are definitely timeless. There is something special about those older copies, something that isn’t in the newer ones. I can’t put my finger on it. It might get just be the ultra-romantic images of women. I think that the newer copies focus more on home decor. I did keep the white dress!! I had to double check to make sure I didn’t donate it. I kept a few things for summer. Mostly skirts, but I kept the dress. I might have to wear it “just because “ 😅.

I would replace the stone in the wedding band each month, save a few dollars and put it to the side by the end of the year will be rewarding and in years to come you can give it to your daughter you can give it to your granddaughters think of the future.

I actually got rid of all of them. First my daughter was inspired to make her own vision board, so I let her use the magazines first.

You've mentioned your age too often in this video. The truth is you are a young and lovely woman who happens to have grown children. If you no longer are drawn to a style it's not necessarily that you are old. Listen to what you said about the Art Deco earrings...Your style is evolving into a feminine one. Love the vision board and the things you said about your vision overall. Keep the bird earrings in a keepsake box. I just put a few things aside today that I'd never wear but I can't part with them. It's okay to have a small keepsake box.
