I have one that looks pretty much the same, but on the dial, where this one have "G-SHOCK" mine's got "MULTI BAND 6" and on the back the model is GW-3000B? Do you know why? Different markets, different model, or maybe it's based on the production years? My watch is from the UK, and probably it is from 2015/16. Thanks

Is all this necessary if receiving the atomic calibration is successfully, given the home city is correct?

CURRENT TIME AND DATE SETTINGS [Main RESET instructions takeaway from the video- follow step-by-step below- it worked for me without doing the first set of steps- good luck everyone!] Change HOME CITY setting 1. In the Timekeeping Mode, keep A (left top) depressed for about 5 seconds, as the Second hand moves to the city code of the currently selected home city. 2. To change the home city setting, press D [right bottom] to move the Second hand clockwise. (Current city code NYC). Wait until hands stop moving to do next thing. 3. Press B (right top) to toggle the time for the currently selected city code between STD (Standard time)/ DST (daylight savings time). Change CURRENT TIME setting 1. Press C (left bottom) the watch will beep, and the Second hand and Left dial hand will move to their 12 o’clock positions. This is the ‘time setting mode’ 2. Use D (right bottom) and B (right top) to change the time (hour and minute) settings. To change the CURRENT DATE setting [Change YEAR] 1. After the time setting is the way you want, press C (left bottom). The watch will beep and change to the year setting mode. 2. Press D (right bottom) will move the Second hand and change the tens digit of the year setting. E.g. 1= 2010, 2= 2020, 3= 2030… 3. After the tens digit of the year setting is the way you want, press C (left bottom). The watch will beep and change to the ones digit of the year setting mode. 4. Press D (right bottom) will move the Second hand and change the ones digit of the year setting. E.g. 1= 2021, 2= 2022, 3= 2023… 5. After the ones digit of the year setting is the way you want, press C (left bottom). The watch will beep and change to the month setting mode. [Change MONTH] 1. Use D (right bottom) to move the Second hand to the month setting you want. E.g. 1= Jan, 2= Feb, 3= Mar….After the month setting is the way you want, press C (left bottom). The watch will beep and change to the day setting mode. [Change DAY] 1. Use D (right bottom) and B (right top) to change the 7-Day setting. E.g. 1-31 2. Press C (left bottom) to change the current time setting. Use D (right bottom) and B (right top) to change the time. 3. After the settings are the way you want, press A (left top) to return to the Timekeeping mode. NOTE: The day of the week indicated by the Left dial hand changes automatically in accordance with the date (year, month and day).

Hi. Hope someone can answer this for me. Seeing that it uses atomic time, how does the date window handle changing from month to month? Does it know when Feb changes to March or March turns to April? And the date correctly changes back to the 1st for the next month?

If you hold down the Top left button it will search for a signal to automatically adjust the time. It depends on what time zone it's set to. You just have to calmly take your time adjusting as the instructional video.

You follow that video until you set the time zone, when you set it you exit the setting by pressing the upper left button, then press it again for two or three seconds until the second hand shows R, this includes manually searching for a signal or just leaving it alone overnight connects to multiband6

Thanks for this video! I've owned this beautiful baby since 2014. Nearing the completion of 9th year now. Moved on to another G Shock a year and a half ago. Left this in the dark and the battery is completely drained. Now it is getting charged, but the dials are all messed up. Every time I try to set things right, the power gets completely drained before I can complete all the process. Have to keep it charged longer. My house is so awkwardly built that I can't find a right place to keep the watch charged in the sun for prolonged periods of time. My work happens indoors and in darker settings so the watch ain't getting sufficiently charged. Is there any device that I can get to get it charged indoors? Any suggestions?

you can let your watch also exposed to a desktop lamp, when you are working at your desk at night, and at the window during a full day, or juste wear it on one of your free wrists when outside, all this will charge it in no time ;)
