Make that 10 years later. I bought an Apple watch 3 years ago and my G-Shock was in a drawer that entire time. I brought it back out 2 days ago and let it charge in the indirect sun on the patio. Then needed to come here because I couldn't remember how to set it. Haha, works like the champ still! On a side note, I've said it before.....I don't know if it's still there, but I used to go into Valencia Time Center frequently as I grew up in Valencia L O N G before there was ever a mall there.

Yes. Make sure you are near a window or outside. Many things can affect the signal reception. Make sure your watch is in the Timekeeping Mode. Hold down the top left button (adjust) for about 2 seconds. The second hand will move around to Y or N, and finally R. R means it is ready to receive. You will know whether or not it was received successfully when the second hand moves to either Y or N for about 5 seconds. Hope this helps. For more info Casio.com has detailed setting instructions

Absolutely. There are however situations where a watch may not receive a signal and it is for those people that I wanted to show the manual setting without having to read the sometimes difficult instruction manual.

I got a problem. When i hold the adjust button, the second hand moves to n initially and then move to manual setting( about 5 seconds later) mode. I know the initially n means i did not receive radio successfully last time. But the next two seconds the second hand doesn't move until 5 seconds i hear the little double beeps.Can you help me?

Sounds like it may have received a signal? Maybe the settings for day light savings are incorrect? Start from scratch if you have to, the video shows you exactly how to set it. Btw, there is a timezone 1 hour ahead of LAX. I believe on the watch is DEN.

There's just one thing I don't get . I set up everything including the date and the year , the exact time , my time zone and whether It's STD or DST . If you are asking about the crystal, then no it is not a sapphire crystal and not deemed scratch resistant. That being said I rarely see scratches on G-Shock crystals because they are recessed enough from the bezel that they do not get hit all of the time.

Could you please help me? I have been using your video in order to adjust my watch since I found it in KZbin. I don't know what happened, but for any reason my watch seems not to be OK. That little dial hand at 3 o' clock position is not pointing correctly as I change between modes. For example, when in time keeping mode, it does not point to a day of the week. It remains in a position near to alarm. Is it possible to reset the watch to its factory default? I mean, is there any sequence the buttons (A,B,C,D) are pressed so the watch is totally reset? Or may I accept the fact my watch simply got damaged?

I bought my GW 4000 last June and since last month I found that my GW4000 have a fog inside the glass everytime I moved from a warm environment to a cool environment. coz I'm working in a storage room with a cool temperature (around 7-10 deg C), and then I realized that fog. when I moved outside to normal temperature, after 15-20 minutes the fog will disappear. Do you think its normal or there's something wrong with my GW4000? need your help...Pls
