I had it set up. Worked and stopped like it should for two weeks. Came home today and it was open by one foot from the closed spot. Any reason for that?

Doug, it sounds like your gate obstructed. If you have a pull-to-open system (gate opens into property) reset the closed limit. If this does not work please give our techs a call 850-898-1411 or schedule a call at a time thats convenient for you. ghostcontrols.com/pages/schedule-a-call

I've done that with my gate but it will continue to run several seconds after it closes and then open back up a few feet. Sometimes it makes a loud continuous noise until we turn it off. It is making it difficult to use.

Give us a call at 850-898-1411 and we can give you a hand. The operator is feeling too much tension at the close position. The backup is the safety measure engaging to back off the obstruction. Most likely there is a mounting adjustment needed.

My ghost has worked without event other than battery not charging without sunshine and then tech support had the answers. After probably 4 years I had a charging problem .. tech support was right there with the answers .. call them ... I will keep looking on how to reset the limit switch @@low602

Mine does the same, goes to the set then closes about a foot , when pushing on the remote it opens too far and gets stuck with a beeping noise. Have to turn off. And pull the pin to get it loose

Hi Juan, If I am understanding your question you can set the extended limit at a different position than fully closed.

Hi. I have double swing gate. The problem is... once they open perfectly, for some reason they close around 5 inches each whici is a hyge risk for cars going through... is there a way to prevent it from moving once it opend?

There are buttons on the board to set the extended limit(1st set). If I solder extra buttons in the 2nd set part of the board will that allow me to set the retracted limit also?

On the Ghost Controls board there are 3 buttons Jog Open, Jog Closed and Set Limit. The Jog buttons to move the arm in either direction so that you can set your limit at the perfect direction. If you have a dual board the second set of limits as well as all the other termination points will be populated. Thanks

My close limit button only makes it start beeping like crazy! Right now the Arnold is fully extended in the closed position and I can’t get it to retract using Jog open button? Any ideas? Oh, and gate opener has been working fine for months… so idk 🤷🏼‍♂️ any ideas how to get my arm to come back in so I can hopefully reset my open & closed limits

Hi Gary, let's try this .... start by turning the system off and replacing the F1 fuse. Then turn the system back on. Also, try to use your remote control to activate your gate and not the job buttons. You mentioned beeping as well. Is it a constant tone or are the beeps in a pattern? Turn off the controller at the switch. Pull the fuses one at a time, then start over with the instructions in the video.

The fact that I can only set one position not both has turned a 10 min job into a nightmare. There is not enough adjustment in the swivel. And now at fully open I am in the most difficult spot on my gate to install the bracket. Now I have to grind cut and drill to get something sturdy enough to mount to. All because I can't jogg it out 2in and set it a full open.

Yeah, universal hardware is hit or miss. It missed on my install also. I had the grind the post mounting bracket to clear the gate in closed position and make my own arm brackets that bolt to the post bracket and actuator.

Mine is doing something similar. If I jog close, it will return to open automatically when I release the button. What was your fix?

@@shannonlee9564 I have to re-program mine about every 10 openings. I do exactly what this guy shows in the video, but sometimes it takes a couple tries to make it work correctly. Not a fan of this product at all.

The installation and set up were very straight forward up until the point of setting close limits for my dual, pull to open system. Spent the past three hours attempting to get both actuators to stop at the actual SET location I programed them. This video is not helpful, I don't need to see the gate opening, I need to see what you're doing with the control panel and the transmitter.Two neighbors are ready to pull the trigger on a system but absolutely not recommending this until it works as advertised. Why on earth do you supply nuts and bolts that are not the same sizes for mounting brackets???? Bolt head is 17mm and the nut is 5/8?? C'MON MAN! You need to hire a third party consultant on your installation manuals and simplify your technology. All fuses are in tact, I have power, there are no obstructions, something is wrong with the actuator or the control panel.

I’m trying to reset mine..mine opening all the way and ignoring the delay. It’s closing as soon as it opens, and once it starts to close it stops midway until I press the button for it to close again

@@mikefreeman87 yes! Mine was doing it because one of the gates had something in the way of it causing it to not fully open(my grass got thick in that spot) so it’ll try to open completely but couldn’t.. that’s when it’ll start closing back and beep, which it was letting me know there’s an error..

My gate opens to much. It goes past the limit where I want it. It closes fine but when opening it goes past where I set it.

Hi, hopefully this will be of some help. First, Is your gate operator installed in a Pull to Open or Push to Open Installation? This is determined by the placement of the gate bracket. If programming the Open position for a Push to Open installation the operator arm is extended and the Closed position limit setting is fully retracted. If programming the Open position limit setting for a Pull to Open installation the operator arm is full retracted and the Closed position limit setting the operator arm is extended.

So, on that note I’m packing this piece of crap up before the weekend and returning it to Costco. I think Costco carries the Mule brand them so I’ll give that a shot but Ghost Controls control sucks. If the jerk in this video is the type of people that Ghost Control relies upon to manufacturer it’s products then GC is in a sorry state affairs.
