I had a lot of fun doing this build and I'm glad I could share it with you all! In the end we have $500+ in profit (with another $500 in parts to sell) and a near mint condition snowblower with very low hours. The engine will be the weakest link here, as it's unknown how many hours are on that. In the meantime, I'll keep a lookout for a Briggs 16.50 if I can find one!

Excellent video and great to see you got it together and all is good considering you made one from three. I'm looking at a Husqvarna snowblower on line to buy real good price, can't tell the size of it pictures not angled right to decipher. What I'm getting at is it looks identical to the one you just finished up on. I guess its true one company makes them and the name brands company's just paint them there colors and slap there names on them. I enjoyed watching the journey of the build to see the final results, keep up the great videos I like your style and professionalism straight forward to the point. Thanks again.

Hey Jake, I wanted to let you know that I'm taken your advice and I'm going to buy an Ariens Deluxe 28. The snowblower is a 2019 and is mint I mean not a scratch on it, he told me he only used it 2 times and by looking at it I believe him. I started searching on the net about the Husqvarna and you were correct as usual, the Ariens is the better choice. I'm supposed to pick it up on Saturday if all goes well and I'll send you pictures if you want. Thanks again for your kindness and help in steering me in the right direction.

Great job and well worth the effort, I wish someone would make a repair plug for the Briggs and Tecumseh starters. I have repalced a few due to the terminals being burned off because they were not plugged in all the way. Thanks for a great video.

Not too sure they would be replaceable they way they are manufactured plus they would not sell as many replacement starters! Great idea though.

A very tidy profit plus a good looking snowblower, it does not get any better than that eh? Well done and the snowblower looks brand new other than seeing the worn skid shoes now on top since you flipped them over. Congratulations on finishing up that series, Jake. That goes to show that having a lot of patience over the long haul pays off. 👍 I was surprised that you left the IR thermometer set to F rather than C, but thanks!😉 I was surprised the highest temp you mentioned was so low. Given the conditions in which snowblowers operate I would have liked to have seen at least 75F. As for that alternator, shouldn’t that normally be producing 14+ volts even if not used to charge a battery? I was thinking maybe that’s why the handgrips weren’t that warm.
@EliminatorPerformance Жыл бұрын
Thanks Rein, and no this is a 60w AC only rated at 12v @ 3600rpm. If I let the snowblower run longer I'm sure it would've got even hotter. They work pretty good once the machine has been running for a while

Hi, I looked at the blower you are putting back together in this video series and I was quite surprised that I found a very similar machine on the side of the road last year. It had a Tecumseh 8 banger on it though. I'm planning on putting a Princess Auto Chinese engine on it. The frane on mine appears to be older than this one, but it's in mint condition. Good job on that project!

The ac/DC CONVERTER smooth out the Alternating current to direct current
@EliminatorPerformance Жыл бұрын
The rectifier concerts the AC to DC, but it's considered varying DC, so the capacitor acts like a battery, constantly charging and discharging to smooth out the oscillation of the direct current. This will all be covered in my video!

Humm…the reg/rect is a good idea but I believe you will only have led light at full throttle? You may have to increase the rpm to 3750. Are those Canadian dollars? Man in the US it has HF engine all over it then sell rest of parts. I have a few greyhounds and predator powering snow blowers out there with happy customers.
@EliminatorPerformance Жыл бұрын
Yea everything in Canadian dollars, and since this now has a throttle control, the voltage will lower with the decrease in RPM. However, the manufacturer states the LED light works at ranges from 10-30v so it should have no issues at 3650 where I set it. Just waiting for some parts to come in and I'll be able to get started on that. Also, the new control valve finally came in for the log splitter, so you won't have to worry about anyone getting injured!
