Nice video. I have a problem with that metal where we attach the shave plate, it’s worn. I think is replaceable but I didn’t find it on the manual. My Snowblower is a Troy Bilt 2100 208cc. I think is replaceable I saw a bolt holding it.

Nicely produced video bro. Kit is made in China, but super impressed with the design and what you get for the money. Some Chinese stuff isn't too bad! After watching your video, I was able to fix a plastic corner post level checker in under 5 minutes. The H50 is super easy to use and the kit came with hundreds of elements; 3 different styles of thin wire and 3 different styles of a bit thicker wire. All stainless steel - use the thinner for smaller jobs and thinner plastic. One tip is to heat up the element first by inserting the new element and holding down the trigger for 2 seconds (it heats up fast) - when the element is hot, its easier to hold in place as it tacks a bit upon contact. This works very well when you are trying to tack weld an edge. As you noted, the element heats up fast - be careful about going right thru the piece that you are welding. Also, try to holds things steady during the cooldown; don't try to extract too soon. Last pointer: if you need to cut nylon rope to length, you can use this welder!! Its super slick - just heat up an element and use that hot element to cut the rope - you seal the ends at the same time you cut so the end will have less tendency to unravel.

This is very timely as I just bought a pair last week. I bought a GearWrench version from Napa Canada (135D). Their design is much better than the ones you showed - the tips actually touch when closed so no modification needed.

Great detail. Everything went as described until I tried to move the old fuel line and it was stuck in place. It won't budge. And I'm afraid to pull harder on it because it is petrified but not yet leaking. So, while the snowblower is still working, if I tear the fuel line pulling on it harder, I'm out of service. Have you experienced sticking of the fuel line before, and, if so, how did you overcome it without completely disassembling the starter, fuel tank, blower housing, etc.?
@EliminatorPerformance5 күн бұрын
@@barrysperonello5822 I usually give the fuel line a little twist as I'm pulling, but sometimes they do get stuck. It's not a perfect way of doing it, but it works 9/10 times.

Good video and everything you did was well explained. The only thing I would have done differently was regarding the seized left wheel. Why not lean it over to the right halfway or so supported by a milk crate, wall, 2x4 etc and spray some anti seize down the outside of the axle and wheel hub/rim. Leave it overnight and most likely, with a few persuasive taps with a hammer and a piece of wood to protect the rim, you’d likely be able to remove it. Then clean the axle, SAND the rust off with some low grit sandpaper, clean again and apply the silver anti seize. I didn’t see you clean the rust off the axle that you were able to lube but it is recommended. 👍

Thanks great video now I know why the engine drains my fuel tank
Unfortunately ethanol free fuel is not available in Ontario anymore. The government made a law where every grade of fuel must have ethanol. So now all the 91+ octane fuels have at least 5% ethanol. I recommend running the engine dry, then adding Kinetix canned fuel, which is an alkylate fuel.

hi I have the exact same engine. I had to rebuild the engine and now my snow blower seems to be revving a little to high at max throttle but when it goes under load it doesn't seem to want to rev up to handle the extra load any thought?

Wish you would show how to do this on the 9hp tecumseh wkth electric start. The slot on the tank side wher the fuel line goes through, is a much constricted size due to the electric starter being right there in the way. The 1" metal connecting bolt you put between the old hose and the new hose doesn't come through such a tight bend right there. I've used your technique on other Tecumseh snowblower and generator motors before with success. However, not with the motors equipped with electric starters.🤨🤬

Teflon is just fine with oil and gas compatibility wise. If it's wrapped incorrectly it can flake or block passage, that's the issue. Good vid bro. Thank you and keep after it.

You should never use teflon tape on anything except water based fluids. Surface tension is what makes teflon tape work, and oils, solvents, etc will leak right through.
