Thanks Jamie. Although the guitar is more popular than all other instruments combined; there is way too much misunderstanding of the basic principals and rules of physics, regarding bringing these instruments up to their maximum potential. After 25 years of teaching guitar repair and design courses .... I am still on a mission to do everything I can to "Elevate the Art" and drag the "real deal issues" out into the light of day.... for ALL to see. Very best regards, MMcC

Hi! Could you help to find out how the ABR-1 bridge that this guitar has got, is mounted (or should properly be mounted in the best way) ? Are the threaded pins of the bridge locked with the nut form inside of the body, or just there are two nuts like what we see on video - one to stabilize the pin the other one to adjust ? Thanks ! Great video and master work.

I had to go back and watch this video again ( it was a few years ago ! ). Those double thumb wheel discs were on the guitar when it came into the shop. The threaded posts go into the wood stringer ... the lower discs tighten ( slightly ) against the top surface .... stabilizing the the posts ( not a bad idea ! ) ... the upper discs adjust the bridge up or down. Cheers, MMcC

Hi @@StringTechWorkstations , that is what I suspected: that it shouldn't be just one disc in the guitar I've got ... . Because the post is going back and forth and so does the bridge. I've just thought of sth to stabilize, maybe wooden wedge under the disc, then I found your video - not mentioned about it, but when the camera panned over that part of the guitar - I've got the idea od two discs. My other question that maybe it might be stabilized even better by applying one more disc to the post from inside of the guitar body (as it don't have center block, it is hollow) ? Would it be good or bad idea from your point of view ? (then posts maybe have to be changed for longer ones). Wonder if you had such case ever ? Anyway mounting this lower disk will help me a lot. I'm glad that I've found your video.I think this type of bridge mounting was transitional solution used by Gibson just few years, in this ES-125 TDC. And it is hard to find someone who dealt with this. Thank you ! Greetings !
