Hi Paul another good video mate. When I erect my awning, I move the roll lock to the "up" position so that when it rotates slightly, it applies tension to the canvas and help to stop flapping. Just remember to move it back to the "down" position before collapsing the arms. Cheers.

Good to hear you cook inside the van. I hear so many say they don't want cooking smells inside. Also so many people seem to take all the cooking gear out of their vans which for me is silly. I generally tent camp but now also have a van. I have been camping in some places where the flies were so bad that they would sit on your meat as you were cooking so since having a van I am more than happy to cook inside without flies on my food. I guess some people have never dealt with a heap of flies on their food while cooking...I couldn't eat it after that. I am enjoying slowly going through you videos as I have time.

Hi Jennylee, Thanks for your comment. When I first left for this trip I vowed I would not cook in the van, or hardly ever. However, the reality of van life means I seldom cook outside. I would love to have an outside kitchen as well, but the 2nd hand van I bought did not have such a luxury. Please keep the comments coming, cheers, Paul

Yeah, but I think you're supposed to move the awning out a little before lifting the lid. I have a new van and I'm thus very new at all this. Raising and lowering the pop top would be the subject of another video.
