My first and fav youtuber is Megan Rhiannon and i see a lot of channels that are inspired by her and didnt like it honestly because is like a copy in some way. But this channel is perfect because you are doing it with your style, is unique and genuine. You’re are in my top 3 youtubers for sure. ✨ The format of your video I love it because doesnt has cuts. Thanks!

No need to apologize for doing what you like to do. I have my own style in common placing. Nice videos by the way 😊

I’m new to journaling and common placing as a whole and have been feeling a bit overwhelmed learning about all the techniques and ways people use the Hobonichi and common place books, but i’ve been watching your calming videos and have been inspired to keep on going with it. I was genuinely so glad and excited to see a new upload from you to get some new ideas and inspiration! Please, no worries about feeling a bit disorganized, I feel like starting a new notebook of any kind and setting it up is always a bit chaotic, at least for me, but that’s what makes it so rewarding when it all comes together like yours did. Thank you so much for being brave enough to post your videos and show people your ‘Common Corner’ activities. I appreciated the way you defined the term ‘common corner’ and made it sound like such a welcoming place as a notebook as well as in life in general ❤😊

Before I have the chance to reply properly, I just want to say how much your comment warmed my heart~ enjoy your night/day! And the journaling that takes place within it.

Your kind comment has continued to put a smile on my face~ I've returned to it as I really appreciate your honest reflections on how overwhelming (but exciting) learning about all of this is at first. Keep going! One day at a time, taking it easy, and not forcing it too much. It will flow easily as long as you're enjoying and having fun with it.💌 It was indeed so rewarding to finish the covers for these books and I am so excited to start using them shortly! Will keep you updated. Thank you again for your encouragement of my videos~ thank you for stopping by the Common Corner, I hope you keep finding yourself here in the future too! 🥰

I am enjoying your videos so very much. One thing that the commenter on the other video forgot when copying and pasting a dictionary definition of "commonplace book" is this: Language evolves. I think the most important thing is that what you do with your books brings you joy, and I am very grateful that you share it with us (as well as your sisters, of course). Thank you!

Hello there~ (apologies about this late reply). I really appreciate your thoughts on this matter, it is a lovely and comforting reminder. Thank you truly💌
@nknknknkc3 ай бұрын
honestly that's valid, but it makes it disappointing for those (like me) who do enjoy watching content about the practice of commonplacing, yet found many videos titled that way is just another journal masked as "common place book". It is an argument whether the language evolves or it's simply a misinterpretation for the term. but you do you, I guess.
@kj.mclean3 ай бұрын
@@nknknknkc”Misinterpretation” is just a diplomatic way of saying “you’re doing it wrong.” Calling someone's content they are sharing "just another journal" is dismissive, and more than a little rude. Perhaps you could start your own channel for those who are looking for the traditional/old school practice. Then you would find like-minded people with the same interest and could build that community.

This was so fun to decompress with after a long day of work! It's a funny coincidence because I'm also moving in a similar direction - previously had all my messy stream of consciousness journaling in the same book as commonplacing, but I've decided that's hard for me to flip through so I'm also separating them into two once I finish up the book haha. Love the final covers and setup of your new books! Totally relate to the chaos of settling on the final position of stickers/graphics 😆 Thanks for another lovely video, take care!

Hi. My commonplace book is an A5 blank plages book that’s open on my desk or at the table (commonplaces) and I journal, take notes from tv/youtube etc, braindump. I love seeing what people make of theirs books.

Lovely video! I started what I thought would be a common place book this year, but it turned into a spill over journal because, I often run out of room on the daily pages of my Avec. I'd like to start another one. I wish my handwriting was better. It seems like handwriting is more important in a book that is to be used as a reference. I'm worried that starting a common place book will activate the perfectionism I was able to let go of with journaling.
@TheCommonCorner7 ай бұрын
Yes! Mine was very much the same at first~ a commonplace turned more into a journal~ :) But no worries! Like you said, another one can always started. Still, we can use it as freely as possible❤️🩹 I really feel the fear of perfectionism, as this is something I still stumble on to this day~ but the trick is to be aware of it and tell yourself that imperfections in any book make it unique and true to you. Happy journaling (and common placing if you choose to continue it!) 💌🐇

Hi Elle! I love the style of the character you used on your common place book with the milk carton - do you know what the artist is / where you got it from ? thank you ❤

Hi! Thank you, I quite enjoy it too~ I have no idea who the artist is unfortunately, but I cut it off of the magazine from Society Cafe here in the UK :) www.society-cafe.com

looove the journal cover! you have such a nice sense of aesthetics and composition. do you just use a glue stick to cover up with paper and other pieces?
@TheCommonCorner8 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! ~ I really appreciate it 🥹💌 And yes~ just a mini gluestick from Scotch. I was slightly dissing them in my last video because the green colour of the glue stick is a bit displeasing, but it is actually the nicest glue I've used! Doesn't peel back, and doesn't crumble the paper~ recommend, recommend.
