Happy birthday! It's called standard or regular size. It's really an a5 slim but that term is less commonly used.

Happy Birthday 🎉 I loved seeing your TN! I recently started using mine for commonplacing, and I love it. You just reminded me to dig my Preppy out of one of my drawers and give it a try. I remembered loving the ink.

Happy birthday! I hope you are loving Hong Kong as much as I loved this video. The cozy vibe, the beautiful ephemera, and - of course - Miffy! I must confess that the washing machine was the scene-stealer. I kept giggling, because it reminded me of one’s stomach growling in a silent public moment. 😂

Happy Birthday!!! Hope this one will be much luckier and filled with fun! Enjoy Hong Kong! Hope you brought an extra suitcase to shop and get all the stationery there I am looking forward to seeing what you end up using TN for and how it fits your needs or schedule.

Hi Elle. Great video! I have a couple of questions. 1. Where did you get the labels that are in the front of your notebooks. 2. Can you share the key you use for your common place book? Also where did you get the dot stickers? Thank you. P.S. You should do a video on what’s in your pencil case.

Hi Elle, the Chinese phrase on your adorable fish sticker can be translated as either "prosperity and wealth in abundance" or "riches and honor with surplus." The Chinese character for "fish" sounds the same as the word for "abundance" or "surplus," which is why fish are often used as symbols of blessings - a play on word.

I’ve been enjoying your channel so much, you’ve inspired me to start my own journal at my own little desk hehe. Do you write a list of things you want to include in your daily pages? I notice you had a yellow post it before you started writing and was wondering what type of info you note down and how much it helps. Keep up the lovely videos!!

I am loving the late night videos. Very cozy. I started watching last night before bed and it calmed me to sleep (not sure if that’s a compliment or not 😂) then come back to watch again with more energy. Loving your pages as always. And welcome to the common corner miffy!

Hi Elle. If you have a lighter, you can relight the matches! I've been able to use a long match up to three/four times! (might sound counterproductive, but it's easier to light candles with a match instead of a lighter)

It was such a unique take on starting a channel that I was hooked 😊 & I’ve been silently watching but I wanted to just write today because your videos have been so comforting for me lately & I truly appreciate the time & effort & joy you put into making them! Thank you!! ❤

I loved this video. I love doing art in the hobonichi as well. I add color with watercolor in my hobobichi. Would Ka enjoy watercolor? One tip I would give is that he uses a waterproof ink if he chooses to use watercolor. I love platinum black ink. I also know colored pencil or pencil crayon is very smooth on the tomoe river paper.

I have no clue what I stumbled upon here but I am so grateful for it. I decided to pull out my journal (which I normally only scribble in before bed to help me sleep), make a small collage and write while I watched your video. I will be staying at the Common Corner!

Man, Ka's artwork is inspiring. Really liked the look into all the journals and the detailed thought processes behind his creative aspirations. Love how freely Ka uses his journals and it is really inspiring me to just draw more, I don't do it as often as I would like to. This was really a special video and you have great chemistry!

Thank you for this wonderful video. Elle, I’m really enjoying your new twist of guest journalers in addition to your regular relaxing videos. Thank you Ka for sharing so openly and honestly about your health challenges and how the process of pen to paper sometimes felt like drawing out your tears, I related very much to this, I use more words but felt very inspiring by telling my story in pictures. I don’t feel I’m good at drawing but try occasionally. It so wonderful to see the different creative styles you both have and how talented you both are. I loved the share of the same perspective you both drew (gate/fence I think), I liked them both personally. I appreciated the freedom of how to use the pages in my Hobonichi dated books, I sometimes judge myself to harshly about following a structure. I want the dated books as I like the guidance but sometimes I don’t use the page and re date a page but I like that there are lots more pages in the dated books. You are such a beautiful pair and I appreciate the generosity of both your sharings. I work in mental health and I am always moved by the strength and the way in which people express their feelings, and the magic that can come from this. Elle, from my perspective, you are very talented as an artist. This is just what I see. Thank you so much for this video. Varsha, London. 🙏🏽❤️‍🩹

Ka's drawings are amazing! I was so excited to watch this and was not disappointed. I appreciate how Ka explained his process and his approach in using Hobonichi. It just shows that you can use this notebook for just about anything and you can make it work for you! Elle (I hope I am spelling your name right?) I am also so intrigued by how you are using your TN. I hope you could possibly include some more of your TN in future videos. This was such an epic video that I enjoyed thoroughly. I am all for these longer ones. They are just so satisfying!

I like the idea of the creative spirit being in the pen. I love Ka's art, much more abstract and free than my work. I'll have to take a leaf out of his book and loosen up and draw to unwind more.

This video was so special. I really enjoyed hearing and seeing Ka's creativity process, and was especially intrigued by how he has gone from being exclusively digital in his work to filling up notebooks. I really like these occasional "guest appearances" you have happening. It's fascinating to see how different people interact with their journals. And - I can't help saying this - you two are just so wonderful together! Thank you, Ka! It was lovely seeing your work and getting to know you a little bit. 😀
