This is gonna help a lot of people realize that planted tanks are not as hard as it seems. Great video, guys!

I am using my Biocube 32 for fresh water as well. Beautiful tank!!!! Thank you for sharing, you gave me some great ideas!!!! Where do you put the water heater? Can it somehow go in the back ?

As someone has already asked.... What are you using in your filtration area? Floss, carbon, resin exchange media, bio-balls? I'm curious if you are using any foam anywhere, or if you've remove it.

Looks beautiful! 😍 I can't wait to start setting up my 55 gallon with some plants. I've always thought plants would be hard.

If done the right way , live plants can be more beautiful than even saltwater

First of all, thank you for this video! I’m currently setting up a freshwater Biocube 32 with plants and really have enjoyed watching your video (many times haha). I’m going all out and got the inTank filter setup and I will be using plants/rocks/drift wood. My question/ ask is could you please show an update on this tank to show how it’s grown in? Also could you cover stocking options? I am struggling with what to pick and what plants to use... I’m using Flourite black and leaning towards doing a community with danios and Gourami. Thanks for the videos and advice!

Love the video. Was hesitant on doing a planted tank myself. But from the looks of it, it doesn't look too bad/hard. Maybe in the near future I'll set one up and do some kind/form of experiments in landscaping aquarium.

It really is fun and easy - there will be challenges, but once you find the right equilibrium, it makes maintaining a healthy aquarium easier than an unplanted tank. It almost feels like you're caring for your fish AND your leafy, green friends - which to me, is more rewarding.

Looks great! But I’m actually building a saltwater aquarium. But might do this in the future!

I have a question about the lighting that's built into the Biocube. I understood that the lights built in are meant to be used for salt water reef tanks. Do you have to change any of the lights out and install something else for it to work well with a planted tank? We have a couple planted tanks at home and always use lights that are high output and meant specifically for freshwater planted tanks from Fluval and Finnex brands. What are your thoughts on this as it relates to the Biocube? Secondly, my son currently has an 8 gallon rimless tank with a glass lid that's planted and he's using it as his red cherry shrimp tank with some chilli rasboras and have it all running off a sponge filter perfectly well. I want to get him a bigger tank to transfer everything into, but not sure if something like the Biocube would work since it has the integrated filter and might end up sucking some of the chilli rasboras and red cherry shrimp into it. Ideally want to find a tank that's 20 inches long (from left to right side), has a lid, and is between 15-25 gallons, but would prefer to use a shimp friendly filter like a sponge filter. Can't seem to find that anywhere..... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I have purchased driftwood in the past and I have put it in my fish tank and it made the water turn brown after I boiled it several times. How do you not get brown water from driftwood?

I have a freshwater Biocube 32 and wanted to know if there's a basic set up for 1, 2 and 3(blue light) to minimize maintenance? Mine is not planted.

I have a 16G bio cube . I am going to redo my freshwater tank with live plants. How would I know if the stock lighting is for high or low light plants?

Personally I would only stock a 16 biocube with plants like anubias, crypts, and things like this - really hardy plants with well developed root systems. We have a 32 biocube in the store done like this and it’s beautiful

I've got a Oceanic BioCube 29A tank and I have fresh water goldfish currently in it. I don't have any of the original filtration equipment though. I got a slim submerged punp/filter combo but would like to have the correct fugue backet etc.. for the tank do you know anyone who has all of that stuff?

Stoned tank or Planted Tank? 🤔

I really dont think the biocube is best for plants due to too much flow. The 8 gallon i have is extremely high my guess around 150 GPH in a 8 gallon. That is 20 to 1
