Rock on ! I still think your cheap! Told ya my plumber was making $98 an hour but he had to drive pretty far to my new house in Northern AZ. Had no choice labor is very tight and its a miracle I found him! Did a shit ton of new plumbing, toilets 'faucets new vales and shut offs pee traps etc! I paid for all the materials. His labor was like ! $1700 to me. Then had a slab leak. Had to call in tue real pros! $3400 for the reroute but I also helped him with the work. He also fixed my propane wall heater for free! It was alot if fucking work! I felt ai got a good bang for my buck! Best of luck brother!

@@joecoelho7030 that’s what I’m trying to do. It ain’t cheap but it’s the real deal and it’s fair.

@brasshouse9822 100% fair my man! People have no clue what things even cost and where labor rates have risen! Stupid question your getting jobers pricing on your supplies right? For what quantities you are buying? You must right?

Loving this content. So at the $650 for 8 hour labor you’re paying your guy about $80/hr? Do you just pay hourly or do you do a hybrid with commission? Do you feels guys don’t work as quick on just hourly?

So here’s my math Sales price is $2850 Your material is $750 Your labor is $50 x 4 hrs = $200 Cost of goods = $950 Total gross profit = $1950 Gross margin = 66.67% Why not just figure your cost of goods sold and divide by 0.33?

You’re effectively charging $525 an hour for labor. How is this any different from what the home service gurus teach?
@brasshouse-og2 ай бұрын
@@RickysPlums the home service guy charges 525 per hour and then he sells you the material at 150% markup. So it would be my price plus $1600.
@brasshouse-og2 ай бұрын
@@RickysPlums more over the flat rate guys are not gonna be anywhere close to this price. Their price on that 6 gallon water heater is going to be probably about two grand. Their price on that disposal is probably gonna be 650. The price on that kitchen sink faucet probably gonna be 550. they’re probably gonna add on extra for the pan and the expansion tank. They’re going to charge probably about three $350-$400 minimum to change out two angles stops. But Jared Williams tells you what he charges. He’s probably gonna figure 3 hours on that water heater. That’s 605/hour x 3 so $1,815 in labor for the heater alone. Then he’s going to charge 150% mark up on material so the $400 for heater and connections gets sold for $1,200 bringing that sale price to $3,015 for that one 6 gallon heater. That’s not including the disposal, the faucet, the stops and drains. So he is $200 more than me for the one little water heater and I’m doing all that other shit too.

@@brasshouse-ogok I guess I just haven’t seen that type of pricing here in my market… I’m in Tampa, FL, a massive market… I can’t imagine someone trying to sell at the rate you’re saying the Jared Williams’ types recommend… I took a few Nexstar classes and SGI classes and they were always saying to aim for a 60-70% margin on service
