Related to guns... hunter is a good trait. A double barrel sawed shotgun and just a box of shotgun shells + fast learner will get you to lvl 5 aiming in no time. From lvl 5 and beyond you can use hand guns with no problem. Policeman is good cause you have +1 nimble I dont recomend veteran cause sometimes fear warns you about zombies sorrounding you that sometimes you as player cant see. Hunter its the Brawler of guns.

check flashlight or belt mods. you can get crank flashlight that works for about 2 minutes (then you need to re-crank it) attached to your belt, and its quite nice.
