Good info. Can this be done if you've pumped everything down into the compressor?

Where did you get your nitrogen carry stand?

what is that ball valve called?

1:00 - How is it doing that?! Do you have the TEV (TXV) remote bulb in hot water (that’s how to open a TXV on a system that’s not running, right?) sorry for the ignorant questions. I’ve been out of HVAC/R school for over a year now, but I’m still learning.

Does the TXV have to be removed or is it kept in place?

Most of the time kept in place.

Hi ow much the psi on nitrogen regulator
@love2hvac3 жыл бұрын
< 1/2 psi just enough to displace oxygen. I use the Purge adapter (with the little ball) very slow flow.

Hi there. So nitrogen will not explode if heated by a flame? By the way i am new to being a technician and im learning alot from your video tutorials in your channel. Im asking this because when me and my partner he is a long time AC tech, we just braze the pipe with running nitron into it. What will happen if we are brazing without nitrogen and vice versa. Thanks

Hi David Here is a video that shows the difference. We where always suppose to braze with a nitrogen flow but time saving, bad habits and a indestructible mineraloil we got away with it. Nitrogen is an inert gas and is not flammable. You dont want any pressure in the lines just a flow to prevent oxygen that will prevent oxidation. When you braze, you see the black stuff on the outside of the pipe? That's oxidation. It also happens on The inside. Mineral oil did not disturb it too much but now we use a POE oil that is also a great cleaner and solent. It takes the oxidation off the side walls and into the flow where it gets clogged up in every small part This is the screen before the metering device and especially in the TXV/TEV. It is one of the 3 big falures for a TXV. Brazing with nitrogen listed in the instruction manual for almost all manufactures. Brazing with nitrogen is also a must for hydrocarbon refrigerants to prevent explosions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaazXpiYbb-tZpo
