its so nice to see more and more people housing their hobo weeks inside the standard TN!! i also do that, but I have it set up a little differently so that the weeks isn't involved with the elastics. thanks so much for sharing, jen! always love watching your vids 💜

@@joyofstationery 🥺🥺💜 omg thank you !!!!! in terms of how i set it up, i mention it in my newest video briefly (theres a timestamp for quick access- its the weekly vertical section) and then the second video i ever posted is the set up video for that TN System).

Love your setup with Eric Small Things. I adore EST!! Your video gave me lots of ideas for my first ever Hobonichi Weeks (got the olive one with a wonderful Eternal Leather cover).

Love Eric small things! I'm so glad that you enjoyed, and your setup sounds beautiful, the olive Weeks is so lovely and I imagine it would go so well with an Eternal Leather cover!

I’m not sure if anyone mentioned this here but the “extra” (smaller) string in the standard tn fits the hobo weeks almost exactly, if you don’t like the wiggle of it being on the bigger one
@joyofstationery Жыл бұрын
you're totally right, yes! I actually tried that in a previous setup for the first time just a couple of months ago, and I liked that! I did notice that with a Weeks cover and cover the shorter string, on mine anyway, does bend the cover on cover on the spine, but I may try returning to this too ~ thanks so much for the tip and reminder! 🤗

@@joyofstationery ohh ok that makes sense! She has a video on sterling ink of her cutting the plastic cover a little bit before putting it in the tn, so it doesn’t bend. Either way I hope you’ll do an update for us and let us know how it’s going. I’ve been thinking about doing this as well. Maybe even with a b6 in a standard tn

Great set up! I’ve just devised what I’m calling the “Quick draw” Hobonichi weeks set up for my TN. I’m certain I’m not the first to think of this, but I use a Midori craft folder and put it in the TN the usual way, and slide each side of the the cover of the Hobonichi into the pockets of the folder. When I need a quick reference of the Weeks, i can flip through normally. If I want to have a longer session with it, it’s very easy to just slip it out of the folder and use it that way. This also helps with the issue of the Weeks not being the same size as the TN. The craft notebook acts as a rigid cover that is the same size as the TN!!

thank you so much for watching, and what a great idea! I love what you suggested with a 'quick draw' hobonichi weeks using the Midori craft folder, and now I'm wanting to try that out, especially as it would allow me to slide both sides of the Hobonichi cover in ~ thank you so much for sharing this! 🤩

Never thought of word of the month, it's really interesting I have yet to come up with a word for 2024
@joyofstationery Жыл бұрын
thank you so much, it's been quite helpful for me as a way to set a kind of intention for the month! 🤗I also have yet to come up with a word for 2024 ~ do you know about Susannah Conway's workbook for the work of the year? I believe it's free, and it's a wonderful workbook on "unraveling your year" and looking ahead to the new (www.susannahconway.com/unravel-your-year-2023)

This is tempting me to start my new Weeks since it starts at the end of November but I want to finish my current Weeks to the end of the year 😭 Maybe I can do a few test run/layouts in the new Weeks until next year 🩵

I admire you sticking with your current Weeks to the end of the year! I'm always torn between starting the new one and finishing the current one 😅but can't help starting the new one and getting used to it. I think the few test run layouts in the new Weeks until January begins sounds like a great idea, and what I would do too! 🥰

Oh are they dragons? I thought they were seahorses 😅
@joyofstationery Жыл бұрын
they are seahorses, actually! I think that in Japanese, seahorses are thought of as tiny or mini dragons and called as such, which I think is why Hobonichi decided to name the pattern "Tiny Dragons" to fit with the Year of the Dragon for 2024! 🤗

@@joyofstationery oh that’s wonderful. I think it’s adorable! If I used hobo weeks it would have been my pick!

I know this is an older video but I have a hot tip for hot cocoa when lactose intolerant!! I use Lactaid milk, or lactose free milk. It IS milk so it has the same creamy taste but no lactose. Highly recommend!
