You're going to love the Hazelrigg units. I got a chance to test drive them for a month and I fell in love. Saving up to get a set for my studio. Also getting their 500 series modules as soon as they're in stock. Hazelrigg and DW Fearn really is top notch.

Yess! So curious about those 500 series units and how they compare to the rack units!
@MakePopMusic25 күн бұрын
@@thomasvopstal I'll let you know when I test them. Knowing Hazelrigg though, they wouldn't put something out unless it's unbelievable

Go for the Wes Audio Super Carrier II 500 series chassis. It delivers excellent power, so future-proofs any power hungry 500 series modules you might buy in the future. It also ensures all your modules get the right power to drive the unit optimally. Do some research on it, it's one of the best and it has 11 slots!.

Thank you so much for making this video! I could not find my problem connecting a 2nd pair of monitors to my Apollo x4, and it turns out that I was missing the Alt count on my hardware preferences. Once I removed and re-installed Console. everythign now works as intended.

Yeah, probably the best compressor in pre-dual I’ve heard in a long time. My boy Javar has to set and we use it on everything. It sounds great on live bass as well.
@TheDubstepisme26 күн бұрын
For the speakers: get either isoacoustics isolation board which tilts, so you can aim the drivers directly to your ears. Or get the lift speaker collumns so you can raise or lower your speakers with a press of a button.

The only issue with the VNE & VLC is you need two for stereo... Hands down the best pre amps they sound good on anything. Glad they are becoming more popular

The 500-Series power supply shootout may get a lot of hits. That’s been a common discussion in threads and I don’t believe that I’ve yet to see somebody post one.

Sounds like you could really use a patchbay? Like - what if you want to run something serially? Youd have to convert it twice with your current setup
@thomasvopstal19 күн бұрын
Yes, a patchbay is definitely the next step, trying to find the right one for this setup. And honestly i’d never do 2 hw inserts in a row, i’d just patch it over manually on the back of the gear.

You don't have to run the monitors through the x4 for it to be a monitor controller. my monitors run from my x8, and my twin just controlls it from my desk.
@thomasvopstal26 күн бұрын
Yes, but to hook up a second set of monitors i can’t use the x16 as the ssl uses line outs 1&2
