how often do you have to replace the blades? Dontrelle ware of because of friction? I guess they do but how fast do they wear out?

Allright, turns out I'm using it wrong all along... I kept the blade always leveled with the shoe, worked out fine imo but isn't how it's supposed to be... I'm going to have a talk with the guy who told me to do it that way...
