I'm having built in bookshelves built by a master carpenter for my clients. The wife is a writer & her sweet husband loves whatever direction makes her happy; usually... So, she & I decided to have the carpenter do a dark finish to go for the dark academia look, but the husband has mentioned "light & bright" to me a few times. I can see the whole vision, but now am worried that it may be too much for him. Would you mind sharing what paint color you used? Love your channel btw, just found it today!

I actually just have a plastic bin that I’m stashing all of them!! Like one that isn’t too deep but is the same width as normal plastic bins so it stacks well

Fun! 😄 (also, I don't know the size of your sitting area but target has this 6 inch gel memory foam mattress that I like and I think would comfortable for the spot but it is in mattress sizing so I don't know if it would work for you or if you are even looking for anything like that but thought I would share just in case 😅)

@@BrittanytheBibliophile Oh my gosh I completely forgot to take into account the fact that you need access to the storage area! 🤦‍♀️😆 Maybe look into Japanese floor mattress/futons? I think those are meant to be easy to fold. I don't know how comfortable they are but it might work. I had an awkward spot to cushion a couple years back and I spent DAYS, maybe even WEEKS doing research 😅 I blame my virgo brain, 🙈 so good luck to yours! 🙏

I was considering the picture of Dorian gray I’ve heard very good things. I would also like to read Alice and wonderland, Frankenstein, and Dracula. What would you recommend? (it doesn’t have to be one of these four if you think another is better)

The only one I haven’t read of your list is Frankenstein! I will say I’ve appreciated every classic I’ve read because it really gives perspective on how a genre started, but I have been underwhelmed a few times. Dracula and the Picture of Dorian Gray were two I had extremely high hopes for and just felt mid about them after the fact, more so Dracula since it’s so slow moving and not as much horror as I had anticipated. Now, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is phenomenal and I highly recommend it! I’ve been meaning to get to Frankenstein for years now, but I keep hesitating lol
