I like my TT350S to use in conjunction with my Sony A6500 as an on-camera, hotshoe flash. When I use a larger flash like the Godox 685, I use it on a camera flip bracket and fire the unit with an XTPro trigger on the hotshoe of the camera. Not too many small form factor flashes have HSS and TTL capability and most will not serve as both master or slave when required.

I also love the TT350, for the exact same reasons (lots of features, small package). Thanks for your comment!

There seems to be difference between two. It reads for Zoom Mini: Bounce Function (Tilt)0 to 360½ horizontally and -7½ to 90½ vertically whereas for Godox TT350 it reads: "Tilts vertically 97 degrees and swivels horizontally 270 degrees" So I am confused. Also physical dimensions mentioned are different. 140 x 62 x 38 mm for Godox and Flashpoint has 5"x2.5"x1.5" or 127 mm x 64 mm x 38 mm So does this rotate 360 degrees? or 180 degree left and 180 right and thus completing 360 degrees arc?

nice video. I just got mine for a Sony a7c. I like it, but for some reason my zoom doesn't work any more when I press the button. And at the top right corner. There's an "M" in a square above my numbers, then the number 14mm in the upper right corner, and then "zoom" underneath that. When I hold the zoom button down, it just goes to my menu. WTF?

Alex, good clear info. Thanks. However, I have a problem. I have the TT350o version which I was told was compatible with my new Lumix G95 mirrorless camera (since Olympus and Panasonic are the same). BUT, I cannot get it to fire off camera using the wireless trigger! The flash is set in Slave mode (neither TTL or Manual work) on channel 1 in group A and my camera has wireless turned on and set to channel 1 and group A turned on. Nothing happens! Any ideas what could be wrong? The camera should act as the Master and the flash set up near the subject should be the Slave, correct?
@alexsilva_co4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I'm afraid the TT350-o flash does not communicate directly with the camera, it's not compatible with Panasonic's wireless protocols. You need a Godox transmitter on the camera's hotshoe, so you can control the TT350. The transmitters that I recommend are X1T, X2T or XPro.

I have the TT350 and the TT685. While I like the size of the TT350 better, I use the TT685 more often because the menu on the TT685 is much easier to use. For example on the TT350 the Slave button should logically be for changing the flash in and out of slave mode, or it should instead say S1/S2 on it. Maybe I should just try to write the correct label on the button.

My flash turns off after a few minutes without use. How to I extend the time it stays on?
@jordanc.c.4 жыл бұрын
Hold the zoom button. Setting St (standby) defaults to on. Push set, turn the dial to off and push set again. Push mode to exit the advanced menu. Keep in mind this will keep the flash on until your batteries deplete.

i have the same and it drains the batteries so fast. Do you recommend using rechargable AA batteries? or which brand?
@alexsilva_co5 жыл бұрын
Yes, this flash works great with rechargeable batteries. I've used Sony's CycleEnergy and they are awesome!
@ge484215 жыл бұрын
Regular alkaline AA cells don’t last long in a flash, they can’t handle the high current all the well, it’s not surprising your batteries die quickly. Rechargeable NiMh AA cells work much better. I mostly use Panasonic Eneloop cells, which work well, and don’t lose much charge over time.
@xaositectz4 жыл бұрын
there is a version of this that uses a li-ion battery, that is even superior than the 2 AA version (though more expensive). More battery life and faster recharge.
@alexsilva_co4 жыл бұрын
You're right, that is the V350. It's a great flash, I just didn't need faster recycling times, so I went for the AA powered version :-)

Unfortunately it seems the IR focus assist beam has been disabled for mirrorless camera as the IR filter they have inside covering the sensor turns the beam useless :-(

I bought two of these for my Sony a6500. One of them works great. The other one won't go into active mode, i.e. the red light won't come on and it won't flash. I had kept it on the shelf as a backup and discovered this problem after it was out of warranty. I emailed Godox three times asking for any advice they might have for getting the unit up and running, and I have had no reply. I'm disappointed in the company, which seems to not have any reps in the United States. There is a phone number on their website for their headquarters in China, and that's it. I'll probably have to switch to another make and abandon this system. Too bad, because it's a good product at a good price.
