This year, the middle of my feeder house chain (web) fell apart. Luckily the cylinder didn't eat it. Also JD says to float the F.H. drum. Someone once told me if you don't change the F.H. sprocket, it sounds like the ears are trying to kick their way through the floor to get you. Been there done that. It's tough to measure sieve gap. My starting point is to shell off the butt kernels and open it till they fall through. A nice thing about this combine generation is that you can hear if too many kernels are in the tailings. I enjoy your videos. You have a good pace. I don't think I could work while holding a camera.

In corn we run the top open to the size of the butt kernels. Bottom wide open. Big tires on the rear to make the corn walk uphill on the shoe. Slow the fan down because the top is closed up...we took the chopper off because we run a small head. Found the extra corn fan screens at a wrecker and never have corn leaves in the fan anymore.

i remember some time ago you was trying to sell a 3010 and a red tractor to upgrade to a 30 or 40 john deere tractor. By the way welcome back to youtube i enjoy your videos you posted. Where did you get the bottom bean chaffer at ?

I got it from a guy on a face book forum. I ended up selling a GM a 460 and the 3010. The 4230 is pretty sweet it’s s big dream of mine. Hopefully I’m back to a normal schedule

I bet You did have clean beans. You thrashed and re-thrashed them. The question is how many got ground up and blew out the back.

To be quite honest I don’t think many at All I take pride in setting my combine. No i don’t like the tailings but I’m not disappointed in my sample or the ground
