This is the exact info I was hoping to find, correct touch off tool and Haas controller. I appreciate the way you put this together. Thanks.

I use the next tool button after Tool length measure. It will go home and change tool. Saves some steps. Next tool only works if tool offset is used. Nice video. I will add to my lesson plan. I also dry run in air after graphics check. We use probe a lot and shift the G92 Z+2.0. To dry run. Same With manual blue block setup. Same thing. I teach both methods

can you teaching us use g54 for set up z with table touch please

Instead of punching in -2.0 for every tool you can touch off all your tools then just put -2.0 in the z work offset. In a real world setting where time is money this is a more productive way.

I agree. That is a faster way.

If it's about efficiency then you really should be using the WIPS probe.

I'm just learning the haas control but I don't think this is the right way to do it, you actually touch off your tools at the top of your stock for every job? Maybe that works but wouldn't it be better to set your tool height offsets once, from a fixed reference like the bed or home. Then just find your stock Z height from that reference and set in G54.
