Unless I missed it, let's not forget the most important rule. Make sure you level your turntable before you even start messing with the tonearm. Great video.

Awesome how to video James. This reminds me of the days of Tower Records in Hollywood.

Shouldn’t you aim for balancing the tone arm so it’s parallel to the platter?

How do balance one that doesn’t have adjust weights, like the cheaper ones. Ive got a lenton 165b but its my first record player i know its a cheap one but is there a way or can u add weights to this to get the correct reading.

I didn't see him put the anti-skate weight back on. Does that change anything related to the tracking force?

That's an "ortiphon red" cartridge, it's range is 1.0-1.8 grams! 2 grams is too high of a setting for that cartridge! Just saying!
@SoundlineAudioNewZealand2 жыл бұрын
According to Ortofon tracking force range is 1.6g - 2.0g.

Dude has no idea... Yes floating but parallel.. Getting sick of the new generation trying to make this stuff work... It is simple if you read the manual.

How do you do it if your record doesn't have one of the dials...
