My memory with this music is sitting in my older brother's room in 2016. He bought a Wii U for Smash Bros, playing Melee for years before he wanted to try Smash 4 out. And he spent about an hour connecting to WiFi with this music and his little grumbles about how difficult it was being. I miss those days of watching him play games all the time. Now he's moved out and I'm playing games without him, but last year i got a younger brother and hes been watching me play. It reminds me of this so much and I i love that

At least it has better graphics than the Xbox 360, supports many controllers, has backwards compatibility, has music in its menus, can handle Zelda, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, and Minecraft very well, has more storage and FPS than the 3DS, and can play games off TV.

Every time that I listen to this, my eyes always start to get teary... It makes me remember the precious memories I have spent with my friends... The times we made Mario Maker levels all day, the times we have played Smash Bros against each other... The one time that we tried to play Earthbound which at the end of the day we gave up... I will really miss those times, but this track will always make me keep those memories... :) I will always keep my sweet rectangular Wii U in my rectangular heart...

This is what nostalgia sounds like. This is what many years (soon to be a full decade now, unless you had the OG Wii and kept some of its games) of fun, joy, and blissful childhood memories sounds like. And… someday, painfully but inevitably, this is what that last goodbye is going to sound like. I factory reset my Wii U yesterday. I’m selling it next week. I hadn’t really touched the poor thing for myself in months, and it just seemed to slip farther away as I gradually moved on from the past. Eventually I just saw no reason not to hit the red button. I did consider firing up the Dolphin emulator but recently decided it wasn’t worth the time, money, or the risk of bricking the system. So… that’s that. I just know that one of these days I’m going to regret my decision, but with huge games on the horizon, Switch-exclusive or otherwise, I think I’ll be fine. That being said, I’ll keep this music in my heart and remember what this console and its predecessor gave me, whether it’s throwing hands with a butterfly-winged Subspace god, or adventuring through whimsical galaxies, or even racing and pulling crazy stunts with animal-like robot cars. Always move forward, but never forget. So long, old friend
