I think I would be very depressed if I found my paradise and then had to be pulled back to this. I've taken vacations to different places around the world and always have a level of sadness when I have to return but if I was actually living in a place like Thailand where everything was affordable. You can have a great social life. You can take affordable vacations to some of the most beautiful beaches. And then I HAD to come back to the US and work and struggle I don't know how I would handle that. So I rather take my vacations and stack up as much as I can until I'm sure that doesn't happen. I know myself......You're handling this much better than I would.

Hi Jeremy, I'm glad to see that you're on the up and up . It's quite clear that you've had some big challenges to confront, but your tenacity is clear for all to see All the very best. 👍

If you can pass the medical and you feel like you have any inclination towards trucking, I recommend it. I've been a trucker since 99. You can stack cash living in the truck. I'm not gonna say it's easy, but it's doable. Once you get a year's experience, quitting for a six month break is no problem. You can go right back to work.

Your video got me thinking. I've always vacationed there, and the last 2 years it's been cheap because of the pandemic. But this year the price on rentals are up 50%. Yeah... fortunately the Philippines opened up. Always adapt to the environment. Stay safe and well.

Yeah the rent in Australia is also going through the roof and they have abit of a housing crisis there as well. Yes I think it’s a big adjustment moving from one country to another after being somewhere for a extended period. I know I am needing to adjust moving from Australia all my life to being in Thailand now. Keep it going Jeremy you will find your path eventually where you go work wise. But at least the current one pays the bills. Stay safe

Glad to see you doing more videos. I understand about getting resettled here in the US. I have been back over 2 years now after living in Thailand for almost 10 years. Culture shock, is prices on just about everything plus many other things are so different etc. Still thankful for the referral to Benjamin Hart. I wish blessings and great health to you.

Those rental prices...wow! I pay 4000 baht a month for a two-bedroom home in a small Thai town on a 31.5k salary. Even with US salaries cannot imagine paying 700USD while having to share a home with others. Good luck!

Thanks! These prices are out of control.

Wow!! 4000thb for “a house with more than one bedroom”? You are living a great life! Because mortgage should not be more than 30% of your income and renting should be half of the mortgage. And your rent is less than half!! Good job!!!

Hey Jeremy, I learned a lot about working with people from restaurant work. Watch out for the desserts though :). You're a smart guy. How about school for IT if that interests you? I did truck school when I was out of work from IT - I think it may be challenging to live a healthy lifestyle in that career. My best

Hi Jeremy, Glad your health is improving and that the job is stable. I am sure you will continue to improve and some day will return to Thailand; sounds like that is where you wish to be. You have a goal to shoot for which is a good reason to stay positive and work toward it. Hope to catch you live next time. Stay safe my friend. At least it is warm in Florida; 0 degrees C in Ontario this morning.

Ive lived in Pattaya Thailand and Mexico for many years and I totally agree with you about rent and cost of living in the US. Now in the US you have to work two jobs or more just to barely survive there. I refuse to pay those insane rents in the US and have to live with strangers because I value my privacy. I pay about $400 US a month with everything included and it's 2 bedroom furnished. The US requires that you have 3 times the rent in income otherwise no one will even rent to you there. So a crappy $1500 a month apartment there means you must make at least $4500 a month or forget about it. So 50K income in the US gets you a shit lifestyle now.

brother Jeremy.. if you set up a camera with the e-bike I bet you will gain more followers filming riding around places that you find enjoyable. there are two white guys that were living in China for some years and the way I found their work was because they were filming riding around on small motorcycles. something about riding on two wheels draws me in.. those two guys now have four or five channels.. they left China now but because of the situation in China for foreigners they will not be going back to China while their government is the way it is. One of that channels is ADVCHINA .. The e-bike filming might be really cool

I would rec'd you keep doing your channel like you did while in Thailand... You can still talk about that and answer peoples questions about the expat experience. Try for 100k subs. Use your dilemma as an asset. Have you ever looked at getting the Elite Visa? and looking at that while doing online work (customer service or English). Or work in USA 6 mos then Thailand 6 mos every year? Good topics for videos...
@JeremyClodfelter2 жыл бұрын
I’m looking at all the possibilities, however, you have to obtain a work permit to do any kind of work in Thailand. The elite visa is not really a visa, it’s a program. The elite card is great to have, but you cannot work with that status only.
