there are key answers for these job assessments tests on youtube and there are ways how to think to answer them. I am also weak at these assessements but I recommend to look at the videos.

I’d recommend watching some youtube videos for the online assessments. I’ve found them really helpful especially for the shapes assessments.

hey!!! i lived in melbourne on a year lease (on a WHV from UK, no australian rental history, managed to get one right in the CBD too which was so nice) from landing in Aus, to moving into my flat, the process took around 2.5 weeks. my best advice would be to literally hound the estate agents. I booked LOADS of viewings, went to all of them (sometimes there'd be like 50 other people there 😭 it was crazy), then after I would email the estate agent with a really bold subject line like 'URGENT: DEPOSIT READY FOR X PROPERTY". I'd email for upates DAILY, call the estate agents office DAILY and just be really pushy and bold. I also kept offering deposit + 3 months rent upfront (which they didn't get me to do in the end). Documents I had were UK bank statements, Australian job contract and a UK rental reference. I'm so introverted irl so this was awful to have to do but it meant I got a gorgeous sky rise apartment & moved in super quick! I took out a year lease and then when I moved back to the UK (6 months in) I got someone to take over the lease easily.

I'm glad you had some interviews! I really hope you get something soon. 🤞🏻 I've been applying for jobs similar to you since June last year and have had only 1 interview since then, and they rejected me 2 hours after the interview. 🤡 I've otherwise been rejected before the interview stage or completely ignored. 🙃
