Thanks for this useful information. Please guide on how to access our FTP server through the internet if we are not connected to the local network. I am getting errors while accessing FTP over clients in another network.

Windows FTP server is quite restrictive, I'd rather prefer Filezilla Server or Xampp even it's a bit more intricate.
