By far the best video I have seen on this. It really makes a difference. Wish I seen this before I sold my 1kva. There was a hilarious part in this video thanks to youtube. As Soon as the narrator plugged the 50w light in , the screen went blank with no audio for 3 seconds and then an ad came on.... perfect timing. Thanks for the great explainer video.

Quite informative - thanks. My 3000VA Mecer UPS needs a battery replacement after 14 months of service 😖. I have been quoted for a Lead Acid CSB 12V 9Ah battery (6 of) replacement, but have been wondering if a swap out with LiFePO4 batteries is possible, available and advisable. This UPS has a connection for an external battery source (to be verified, as I don't live at the property)

Really amazing video, helped understand how this thing works 😅… could do you a video on the fan and ifs there is a way to have it switch on and off based on temp or something, mine stays on constantly and is abit annoying.

thank you. Unfortunately these fans stay on the whole time. On the bigger units the fans ramp up their rotations based on the loading.

Great video. I can cancel out the annoying beeping when load-shedding starts. But when the battery get low the beeping starts up again. Is there anyway I can stop the beeping without turning the UPS off?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE ADVICE GREAT VIDEO,JUST BOUGHT A RCT 3000 UPS 72VOLT CAN I SUPPLY THE UNIT WITH A NORMAL 12 V EXTERNAL125AH BATTERY OR DOES IT NEED THE FULL BATTERY VOLTAGE OF 72VOLTS SO THAT MEANS 6X12V 9AMP .

I have a 3000 Mecer UPS and got rid of the annoying beeps "permanently" by changing a software parameter setting. Mecer technical advised me on asking them and my alarm tech implemented the effective solution. I had the noisy cooling fans changed under guarantee (still noisy) and sure enough the parameter had to be set again to mute the beeps.

I have the 3000va, but as soon as I switch the unit on, it automatically switches off after about 5 seconds when not connected to the mains? Any help would be greatly appreciated
