Hooray!!! I’ve been eagerly anticipating this one, and it didn’t disappoint! The Burgerpants Conspiracy is basically a sequel to this one. He addresses some criticisms made against the theory and explains his predictions for chapter 4-6, as well as the weird route. At the very least, I’m definitely sold on the Angel’s Heaven being Noelle’s dark world, since it dovetails with the major themes and narrative threads that the game is setting up.

There's a book somewhere about monster funerals where they put the dead monster's dust on their most treasured object which is why Oberon is special - he's made from a lightner's dust. Which would explain alvin's sus scene in ch2. At least i think that's it, i watched that quite a while ago

24:16 I have a whole theory around this. At no point, when Kris and Susie leave a Dark World, whether that's the classroom one, the school closet one, nor the computer lab one, do they seem to "wake up" in any way. The closet and computer lab one are almost seamless, with the classroom one sounding like Susie was already alert, and both her and Kris were standing up when the lights came on, so I don't imagine Kris was asleep either. This leads me to believe that Noelle and Berdly were asleep in the computer lab when the fountain was formed, rather than them walking into it intentionally. I think we can all agree that it would be unlikely for Noelle and Berdly to ignore the room slowly filling with the black smoke that we see when Kris creates a fountain, and it seems fairly likely that the person responsible created it from inside the closet in the computer room. How do we fit these pieces together? My current guess is that someone in the closet waited for someone to enter the computer lab, used some kind of sleeping gas, opened the fountain, then skedaddled before the smoke filled the room to avoid being in the Dark World themselves. Maybe someone with a gas mask, maybe a monster without lungs, who knows? Sleeping gas seems like it comes a bit out of left field don't you think? Well, we know that the town has a hospital, gasses like nitrous oxide would be readily available. Even police forces will has access to sleeping gasses in the form of "volatile anesthetics", and with how lax the people in town seem to be, I could see supplies disappear from these locations and nobody really caring. And why would someone want to put Noelle and Berdly into a Dark World? Before going into possibilities, I'd like to point out that Kris does the same thing when creating his Dark World, leaving the door cracked presumably so that someone unfamiliar with Dark Worlds gets lured in. Now as for possible reasons... all I have is loose speculation. We don't know what reasons "Kris" would have in-universe for going down the Weird Route, but it seems to me like the only way someone would be gullible enough or pliable enough to be manipulated into going down such a path would be if they were unfamiliar with Dark Worlds and simply listening to whatever a familiar face confidently tells them (regardless of if the explanation they receive is true). Maybe each lightner can only create one fountain/sustain one fountain at a time, needing other lightners to learn how to create fountains from inside one, or to create a dark fountain within a Dark World. Maybe they want to create a dark fountain within a Dark World without being in whatever "splash zone" will happen upon it being performed. We really don't have much to go on for the motive behind Chapter 2's dark fountain, but there are options.

this theory is so interesting imo like its really believable and at the same time it is really underground and its so strange to even think that it is true cause it would rewrite a lot of things but like I said its really hard to argue with it on many ocasions

im a huge believer in this theory since i watched it, i love it x3 especially since the Angel in undertale is a title instead of a single person, but 3 & 4 come out this year so maybe we'll have some answers soon!!!

43:20 I actually was thinking about this with a Toriel styled weird route. Were instead of killing the enemies, Toriel main mechanic would be to "run away" from everyone. It would be a parallel to my normal route concept, where the main boss would be inpired by Asgore(like King is with Susie and Queen with Noelle mother), being in love with her and basically being Bowser and wanting to kidnap her. (After a talk with the knoght about not letting what you want go away, because I wanted to do the same thing of "main boss goes rogue after the knight appears") So in the main route, Toriel would have to learn to sit doen and talk about her problema, instead of being passive agressive and trying to ignore problems, after the chapter ends and Toriel and the main boss stay just as friends, Toriel would actually talk with Asgore about their children, and let Kris stay with Asgore for a while (with would lead to chapter 5 but that's another topic) Coming back to the weird route, a mechanic where Toriel used smole magic to flee battle would be a parallel both to what she's doing Asgore and what she did in Undertale (and also foreshadow of what she said if you call her close to Berdly, saying she would throw a smoke bomb so they can get out)

Why the royte would be messed up? It would not only make her not face her problems, but after running away from the small fights you would get the chance you using tbe smole ability in cutscenes of the main boss. With would basically make you go off the main path and go to a different darker(yet darker) one, a place where most residents liked Asgore and hate what Toriel did, both fights and npcs being more agressive. In this alternative path, I could see the ability to kill actually being possible, with her burning all old memories of Asgore, but I'm not 100% sure. In the end, you would have to use Kris dialogues to manipulate Toriel further, say that shes right, etc, everytime you'll go back to the main path, you would get to a new cutscene with the boss and get the ability to run away from it, only to go back to more painful memories, only fueling her rage against Asgore. In the end of the route, I can see Toriel being pissed of with what's, everything blaming her, but Kris convincing she's in the right, she would argue with the main boss so agressivily that it would actually break his heart, he'll go away, seal the fountain, etc. In the light world, instead of being scared ane colder, she would be a lot more strict with what she wants and hotheaded, with the talk with Asgore that should lead to both staying as friends to endup with Toriel telling him to stop trying to get back with her again and get away from her and her children in the worst way you can think of (maybe even a slap in the face)

Oberon Smog is a semi-fan character created by JaruJaruJ as the last candidate of his Who is the Knight theory. Also ties in to his element theory with what is the other half of Blade.

Oberon Smaug is from JaruJaruJ's video "Who is the Roaring Knight in Deltarune" which is three hours long and goes over the likelihood of every knight candidate in agonizing detail, however I would recommend watching Jaru's other videos as they put that theory into context. it's a lot, clearly. but it's quite a fun theory and among the most unhinged to have come out of this fandom.

MY ULTIMATUM THEORY: Since chapter 2 came out, I had a crazy theory that the entity inside Kris had already lived the entire history of Deltarune and what we see him doing is the preparations for something bigger he plans to do in the future, Because he doesn't just wander around the village like a zombie and create the fountain wherever he wants, he goes to very specific places and creates preparations for each scenario. He put one in the closet knowing Kris and Susie would go there, he left one in the library lab knowing that berdly and noelle would be there, and now, he placed one in the living room knowing that there's Toriel, susie, kris and Undyne is coming to investigate in the morning about the slashed tires, So he already knows the events that are going to happen and he goes ahead to put the fountains wherever we go. And I also assumed that there were probably hundreds of resets that we don't get to see while the entity was still planning where to put the next fountains that we don't even know where they will go yet, So he waits to see where they go next, resets, re-prepares everything for that day and waits to see where they go next, all with the purpose of probably generating a situation in which the player is not able to win, so that losing is inevitable.

6:13 Not only that, but Queen refers to the Knight with "it/its" pronouns (King and Jevil only say "my Knight" or "the Knight", and Susie, while she uses "they", has never personally encountered the Knight - to our knowledge). Like, I know some people who use "it/its" pronouns, but specifically using pronouns that don't usually imply _personhood_ still feels like an important detail. Edit: forgot the contents of this video, lol.
