To provide a bit of context for those who haven’t seen it: SPOILERS Walken’s character has a pretty strong death wish because the villains already murdered his wife. He wants to die, but also wants to hurt the mobsters as much as possible on his way out AND stall them to save his friends. That’s why he acts like this. Not to say Christopher Walken wouldn’t respond like this anyways, but the character is a bit more grounded.
