This is the song that made 10 year old me realize that video game music could have words. I was playing Brawl on the Wii, and I noticed there were actual words and it freaked me out. At first I didn’t like it, then I eventually thought it was funny for the meme, and now I’ve grown to actually love it.

I feel like the lyrics actually add more to the gameplay too. It gets you into a funk or vibe and you grove yourself it. You relax and it lets you play better even if you don’t realize it. It’s like in cartoons or Anime/Real world media when they choose to use music. It’s so much more engaging to have a full on band do real music.

Yes .i use to love live and learn the most but then i re listened to thid after many years and i forgot i loved this one more .maybe cuz most of us have had many more chances to play sonic battle 2 cuz of remakes but most of us didn't go back to play the 7 rings again. I feel like this was the last sonic game that heart put into it. Sure, it's no sonic adventure 2, but a lot of that effort and soul that was put into that game is also in this one. Yeah, the on-rails style of gameplay isnt the best, but the story, the characters, the music, all of it still has that heart and soul in it. It has that cheesy sa2 style still in it, just a different story told. Seems like most Sonics after this feel very cliche, and not in that good cliche way it used to be. Just not enough entertaining music and that characters dont feel as thought they really care, probably cuz their VA's dont have as much passion as the past. I didnt go crazy over this game, but it was alright. Certainly feels and sounds better than these newer sonic games.

that doesn't actually have to be pun. You interpreted that in a different way. An "arrowed heart" can mean 2 or more things depending on how you interpret it. The way I think you see it, is that the "arrowed heart caught on fire" is nothing more than a cheesy metaphor for a person who has been deeply lovestruck by an attractive person. Please correct me if I'm wrong about that. I think in a more faithful perspective to the game, the "arrowed heart caught on fire" represented Sonic's heart when he was triggered by the fact that Shara died right in front of his eyes and a sudden anger was enraged in him causing his great desire to avenge her and destroy Erazor Djin for the murdurous act he had committed on Shara. Like I said, that line can be interpreted in many different ways but there's no denying the fact that what I just explained was not a cheesy metaphor. It has a pretty deep and heart-moving meaning to it if you really think about it, and people in real life almost always want to avenge their loved ones if they found who the killers were. I hope this means something to you if you've been able to read this far. There's a lot more to words than how they just look at first sight.
