In this video we're doing the unforgettable and breathtaking Seven Sisters Hike. This hike is from Seaford to Eastbourne and features one of Southern England's most striking landscapes - the white cliffs along the English Channel.
It's called #SevenSisters Hike because of the seven continuous hills that you'll be climbing in one section of the hike. It's impossible to get lost in this #hike as you essentially just follow the coast from Seaford all the way to Eastbourne.
You can do this hike as a day trip from London. So if you have a day to spare, I highly recommend this hike.

My name's Ryan and welcome to my channel.
Instead of buying an expensive car or a Harley Davidson motorbike to get through my mid-life crisis, I started this channel instead 😂 As a new found hobby, I'm documenting my walks/hikes and travels using the ever reliable GoPro. The hope is that it encourages you - the audience - to explore the great outdoors and maybe give you some tips and ideas along the way.
I'm from the Philippines - in case you're wondering about the accent 😊.

Well done 👏🏻 I agree it’s a hard hike particularly if it’s high tide and you can’t cross the river and have to do a detour. By the time you tackle the first sister, you’re already exhausted 😩 but the views certainly more than make up for it. Glad you enjoyed your hike.

@RyanPelle

You’re welcome :) The hills are quite exposed to the elements so when it’s a sunny day it will be too hot so make sure you bring water and put on sunblocks. Similarly if it’s a cold or windy or rainy day it will be quite brutal. Make sure to check the weather beforehand and dress accordingly. Have fun!

Hello ! Thank you for this video it’s great and really beautiful! I’m going to London next week and planning on doing this hike I have one question please regarding the transport from London the train to Seaford includes a change but a saw there’s only 4 minutes to do it how is it please ? Do we have enough time to change and go to the platform ? Thanks in advance for your help !
@RyanPelle
@RyanPelle Жыл бұрын
Hello. Glad you found my video :) The change in Lewes is quite funny as everyone in the train would be running towards the platform but don’t worry, the train driver and conductor know that people need to switch platforms so they will wait for you. Also, the platform is not that far away, though you have to climb up the stairs to get to the other side. In any case, they will wait for you. Just obviously get there as quick as you can :) enjoy the hike.

@@thisisfirstchannal1258 The walk from the Visitor Centre car park to the start of the cliffs, all the way to the light house was maybe 2 or 3 hours, I think. I was out hiking for 7 hours in total, if you include stopping to have some food and going to the iconic house with the chimneys, then the hike back to the car park. I stayed at a campsite, so not sure about hotels.

Do you recommend to purchase the train tickets online both from Victoria station to Seaford and from Eastbourne back to London. or I just do it that same day at the station? Maybe trains sell out quickly in summertime? I appreciate your help.
@RyanPelle
@RyanPelle Ай бұрын
I would recommend doing it in advance. It’s never fully booked (based on countless times Ive done this) but it’s way cheaper booking it in advance than on the day.

If you start from Seaford like we did, it will probably take you around 6 hours depending on your pace and also the tide (high tide means a detour). I’ve seen young kids on the hike so I imagine it’s fine. There are places along the way where you could take the bus but they’re far in between. There are trains from Eastbourne going back to London.

I’ve not done this on winter but I imagine it would be really windy and cold. But you might get lucky with the weather (you know what English weather is like😝). It would take about 6 hours to finish this hike depending on your pace. So you don’t need to stay overnight although I’ve stayed overnight in Eastbourne once and it was a delight!
