5:50 You’ve inspired me to try to in-stick the meter on my Chinese 12volt regulated supply. It’s old; voltage is correct but V / A meter is stuck. As long as the needle movement isn’t messed up, I might save it, based n your artistry. Cheers!

Hi Rob, Nice repair. Was it the wrong bulb? You and the family stray safe.
@SevenFortyOne3 жыл бұрын
Hi Don.. I think it was the original bulb...it just got bent out of place and was touching the plastic

I really like your fix. Some old tube radios would use a piece of some sort of paper that would allow light to travel through it for illumination to shield heat. I'm surprised that Johnson did not due that here. Stay warm!

Hi, not sure if you will see this since the video here was from 2 days ago, but, my question is will I benefit using a line conditioner for my radio equipment or just stick with a cheap surge protection strip. Thank you
@SevenFortyOne3 жыл бұрын
Hard to say....a line conditioner certainly wouldn't hurt but I'm not sure it would do much to help

@@SevenFortyOne Thanks for replying. I think I'm gonna try the Tripplite LC1200 to take the place of the old strip surge protector since I just got new power supply and amp. Thanks again

Good save on the radios meter but uasally don't come across bulbs melting plastic often. I seen more stuck meters that can deoxit loosens up plus the tension screws get re adjusted.

Stick to cb radio why should it be called ham radi like in the title of the video!!!!😄😁
@SevenFortyOne Жыл бұрын
(old) ham radios have meters too..

@@SevenFortyOne isn't it better to keep to one subject starting with CB radio before jumping to Ham radio?😀😀😀😀

The video is about meter repair...could be ham, cb, or an old stereo for that matter.

@@SevenFortyOne Would it be possible for you to make some videos showing what components to replace to improve a CB radio?🙂🙂🙂
