One thing is that The8 is probably (imo at least) the most honest member and possibly one of the most honest idols in general. He's so unapologetically himself, everything he says or does you can always know for sure that he's doing cuz he feels comfortable doing. He may be a "Savage" but I think that's one of the charming points in his personality (not even my bias 😅 but it's Seventeen so y'know you gotta love everyone)

So, more info about our lovely Junhui, since you noticed that he has a comforting presence: The guy with Junhui at 26:02 is Pentagon's Yanan. They are the 'eternal couple' with their infinite love, respect and admiration for each other. They're both very close and care for each other so much. The two of them are sweet, shy and honest with their feelings. Yanan had a lot of problems with his self-esteem, and in that scene his emotional health was very unstable. Junhui was really a rock that stood firm for him, even though he was not in his best condition either. I'm very grateful that Yanan had someone like Junhui to be with him at the time, especially because his group went through a difficult situation as well and that added to Yanan's hiatus, he was in China, far from his members, and Junhui was his support. Ugh, i love them so much 💖 Seventeen is a group with many social butterflies (they have so many friends from other groups) but there are relationships with other idols that are much stronger than others. You can feel that they really love their friends. For example, Seungkwan with his best friend Moonbin from ASTRO, Vernon and Kino from Pentagon, Seungkwan with SinB and Umji from Gfriend (now VIVIZ), Jun with the chinese nct members, All the Seventeen members with all the monsta x members (including Wonho). My heart broke watching Yanan on that show. Junhui was so amazing as a support system to Yanan and their friendship was so amazing to see. And then when Yanan left and Junhui decided to leave too and then Minghao was trying to persuade him to stay but Junhui wanted to make the decision himself. I get emotional now just thinking about it. They really are social butterflies.

Going Seventeen is one of THE BEST reality tv shows out there (not even being biased here). It started off as a "behind the scenes" video diary of their tours and stuff but at around 2019 (I think) they revamped it and turned it into weekly episodes with different themes (sports, mind games, challenges, mafia...) As you pointed out the concepts are all so different and creative in every episode, the production team is insanely good. Even if you don't react to them (tho I would love to see you hehe) you should watch them bc they're 1 hour long (normally split into two 30-ish minute long episodes, 1 released every Wednesday) of pure entertainment and fun and you'll get to know the members waaaay more and understand many inside jokes. Also once a year they have this special episode called "TTT" in which the production team rents them a villa, frees them there and gives them alcohol and usually a karaoke machine and the chaos unleashes. These are unscripted and the greatest thing you'll ever watch. Oh! And they also composed and produced the intro and outro song of the show.

Woozi can actually play a ton of different instruments. We've seen him play the clarinet, piano, guitar and drums but he's mentioned he's learned how to play a lot more when he was younger. A true musical genius. Also yes the majority of Seventeen are introverts, except Seungkwan, Mingyu, Joshua and Dino. But they've been together so long half of the introverts act like extroverts (case in point Hoshi) when they're together cause they're just so comfortable with each other. Seungkwan and Mingyu are social butterflies. Seungkwan especially has friends in all of the industry, from fellow idols (boys and girls, seniors and juniors) to comedians and variety show MCs, to athletes and celebrity chefs etc...

We see Jun being taken care of by his members a lot but the clip with him and Yanan was so touching. Like you can see the empathic and wise side of Jun. The clip is longer than that and what he says to Yanan is actually so powerful he's so good with his words. Yanan's situation was actually really bad at that time, he's been on and off on hiatus for practically 2 years, missed 4 come backs and a world tour. Jun really was his pillar in that show they were so cute together. (Yanan is from Pentagon btw they're fully self-produced too and vocal gods just putting that out there lol I'm a unicarat so I had to. Performance unit is literally the unit that has the most solo releases in the entire of svt xD they’re the most all rounded of svt, each of them can literally sing rap and dance, they each have certain creative goals they want to accomplish (which is why all 4 of them have solo releases/projects of some sort) but unfortunately were really underappreciated especially in their early years (cuz it was seen as the ‘discards’/‘spares’ unit) but they’ve been increasing in popularity as of late :> (can you tell I’m a perf unit bias lmaooooo) Chan may not seem like a maknae cause he’s the oldest child at home!!

answers to some of your comments/questions (+ extra info): - hoshi is a whole child!!! but his solo's are IT!! Jun when he's dabbing (and a number of other clips) are all from Chao Yin Zhan Ji (潮音战纪 - CYZJ). A Chinese show that both Jun and The8 were part of, where they produce and perform different songs against other artists. - the guy in black when Jun is dabbing (21:00), is actually Samuel (who was a SVT trainee, the little one) so they already knew each other when they were all on CYZJ. - Jun comforting the other guy (26:00) is actually also from CYZJ, the other person is Yanan from Pentagon, they were all super stressed out during the show, but Pentagon was going through some super hard things and meant Yanan was on hiatus, so he was even more stressed (and he has self esteem issues). so yeah at 27:50 the show is Chao Yin Zhan Ji (CYZJ) and Jun and The8 were on it with Samuel and Yanan, who they are also friends with - Falling Down is ACE!!, and the8 is an amazing dancer. 34:05 is also from CYZJ and the8 rapped in that song!! he talked on that show a lot about his relationship with fans (i think that clip of him talking may also be from CYZJ). DINO.....sir Austin has his reasons..... i think Dino's dad is actually a dance teacher? (i think it was mentioned in SVT project or pre-debut stuff) - Joshua and Jeonghan are CHEATERS!! they also baby like...everyone and bring absolute chaos During pre-debut woozi was super stressed because he was worried that if his music wasn't good enough he would be letting the whole group down, he's actually seems to have become way more relaxed in the last few years (and way happier). In the same vein, DK had super low self-esteem during pre-debut about his voice and not being a good enough singer for the group. This comes up a lot in SVT project, the show right before their debut. DK's musical is SO GOOD!!!!! (2:03:53) you should watch it if you want to!! (2:18:50) I believe Seungkwan (the robot voice that they added was right btw) cried here because he couldn't promote with the members properly due to an ankle injury - he had said they'd promote together for a long time and i think felt like he'd kinda broken a promise? also, you're lit. like 2 days older than me...

The guy Jun was talking to was Yanan from the group Pentagon. He and Jun were partners in a Chinese competition show that The 8 and former Seventeen trainee Samuel were also competing in the results ended with Samuel and his partner winning the competition but Jun and The 8 both had good standings on the show. I never really knew Juns personality that well until I watched this show and the way he took care of Yanan was so lovely.

As far as content goes, SVT has a ton because they're so active. Most people start with title tracks (including Japanese) from debut to now, then go back and do album listens with the lyrics channel you talked about for B-sides and a live stage for the title track they already listened to and solos. Then they start getting into content that showcases their personalities like Hit the Road (a documentary shot during their first world tour that has one episode highlighting each member), In the Soop, and Going Seventeen. When you get to it, Seventeen themselves have suggested TTT 2020 (episodes 44 and 45) as an introductory episode for someone who has never watched before and wants to get to know the members.

Not to be biased but Jun has the best solos. He’s actually the first member in seventeen to release a solo album with two songs. 💕 Also, Dino’s vocals is just sooo underrated. Just wanted to comment on what you said about jun and minghao the "don't put them together" because right who wouldn't go crazy? yeah girl they're always together!!!! they're soulmates so your heart is going to always explode because YOU CAN NEVER SEPARATE THEM LITERALLY THEY'RE ALWAYS TOGETHER. I've never seen a duo be so different personality wise but so close at the same time. Minghao is always taking care of jun and jun is always taking care of minghao, they're each others pillar since predebut and it's honestly the best friendship i've ever seen. You should watch compilations of them on the chinese program Chao Yin Zhan Ji, they participated in 2018 with other chinese artists and you can see through that show how much they care for each other and how no matter who they're with they will always look out for each because like i said, they're each others pillar since they're the only chinese members in seventeen. They're both my ultimate biases and it's the best decision i've ever made, their friendship and connection with each other honestly gives me hope.

I personally think that Dino's maturity comes from the fact that he is the eldest in his family. One thing that really made me love him and Seungkwan's relationship was that one conversation in "in the soop." They often bicker but you can see how much a reliable maknae actually he is and the older members actually wants to baby him a lot but he's not just it.

I feel like you shoul definetly react to seventeen solos. starting from 2021Jun released silent boarding gate (and crow), hoshi released Spider, Minghao released side by side, and Mingyu and Wonwoo released Bittersweet together. At the beginning of 2022 Woozi released Ruby. These solos are part of the '13 Tapes project' . They also have other solo songs but are not offically released only on there soundcloud such as Dino's Zero, Hoshi's Touch and HHU un haeing il chi . Minga-hao has been releasinG solo project under the 'THE 8 CONTEMPORARY ART' that started off as only dancing but turned into solo songs as well. It seems intimidating at first getting into seventeen, I feel that way too and I become a fan of them after the concert so I did feel overwhelmed at the content.I’m not a reactor so I know I could take my time, I understand the pressure of having to react to so many things to the point of kind of “avoiding”? Especially for a multi so it must’ve been overwhelming and draining sometimes to keep up with content. Like it’s impossible to watch every single thing they made, so take your time with it and enjoy the process of getting to know them. I watch going seventeen to know them personally and it’s fun to watch since there’s a lot of different games and genres they made, so you can start in order or start with whatever interests you first, personally I start with what interests me first (like debates and mafia) and then I kind of binge whatever I want from there, if I hear a song I never heard of I switch to listening to their albums, and switch back into going seventeen. Idk it’s something I did starting out with seventeen and hopefully that will kind of help you find which direction you want to go to. After all it’s your channel so you have the final call 😉

Not sure if you'd see this but one of the best ways to get to know them after watching a guide is by watching their Hit the Road documentary series. It's a 13-episode series posted on their youtube channel which gives the point of view of each member from their Ode to You tour and other things. Some of the clips you've seen were actually from the series. Caitlyn did that I think after watching the guide and I'm hoping you and Sir Austin would soon, too :> Edit: it actually has 17 videos including the teaser, prologue, epilogue, and their special song 😁

You Have to know about the unit swap they do in caratland , they exchange unit like one time the rap unit sang Hug by the vocal unit and they sang it in Rock and it turned out amazing 🤯😩

I am so happy there are new updated guides on our boys! But I am a lil disappointed that they didn't mention Jun's history with martial arts and his injury. But I am so happy they showed Jun and Minghao's chinese performances! Jn has gone back to acting and is going to be in a main lead role in a Chinese drama this year! He filmed it during his break back in china along side with the8 back in sept-dec. The activities you were talking about was them going back to their hometown doing their separate activities while spending time with their family and friends. But, so excited to see him in a rom com drama. From what I have seen, it looks really good and anticipating.

i don't tap the sides, i just stick a butter knife in between the glass and lid and lift a bit. oftentimes it hisses to let you know it's opened, sometimes not so much. but it's easy and takes a second lol. my mum can't open jars anymore due to carpal tunnel (bought her an electric can opener a few years ago and she loves it), but she used to use a wet dish rag to open stuff if any of my brothers weren't around.
