The book of Daniel says knowledge will increase, but it didn't say anything about the knowledge of God increasing. That is a completely different thing altogether. Considering Daniel also speaks of transgressions coming to the full in the same period, it is clear that the "knowledge" that was prophesied to increase in Dan. 12 is NOT godly knowledge.

I have heard some Rabbis say that there is 2 Messiahs, and the 1st will rescue us physically, and the 2nd will rescue us spiritually. They are close, but still misunderstanding who the Messiah is and what He does. Yeshua (Jesus) came the 1st time to free us spiritually, and He will come the 2nd time to physically rule and reign as our savior King.

The Rapture happens before the time of Jacob's Trouble (Great Tribulation), and the 2nd coming is at the end of this period and before the Millennial Reign. If you look at the actions of the events, then you can see that the Rapture and 2nd coming are 2 separate events.

I have always thought of scripture as being as vast as all of the oceans combined, and even more. We all know there are huge amounts of the oceans that have never been explored, yet when something new is discovered, we all marvel and applaud the finding. I myself, and from reading several comments many of you, have only let my toes get wet in this vast ocean of God's written word. These men are at least up to their knees in studying and researching this vast ocean. They are sharing what they have learned so we all can benefit in knowing our most Holy Father. I may be the only one on here who enjoys having my mind streatched when it comes to God's Word. If I don't like what is said, usually because I don't understand, I either put it on the back burner until later, or just enjoy what I have already learned. I also ask questions for clarity, but try my best not to attack people of much higher learning and knowledge than myself. Thank you One for Israel for feeding this baby eagle until I am able to soar on the high winds.

I think if you have conquering king and suffering king as two separate people... you may want to see if you can see it as the following: You have one suffering king (clearly king Jesus, king of kings), that is: 1) 2) 3), which is Prophet Priest and King... and then you have one conquering king, that is 1) 4) 3), which is Priestly Military King...

I think I see various layers to the idea of “return of the king”.... David returns to separate the lean and fat sheep... the return of David’s throne... Jesus returns to separate the sheep and the goats..... one, a symbol for the messianic king, David, who leads to the next symbol for the messianic king, Joshua the Levite, who leads to the next somewhat definitive Christian messianic king, king Jesus, who raises debates and questions that you happen to be faithfully and dutifully debating here from a Jewish perspective, who prophesies about a future end times messianic king, who could be seen as Joshua son of Joseph, anointed for war, who either leads to or is the return of final definitive messianic king, Heir of David. I think the Davidic covenant can show how a Priestly Military King paves the way - even in exile - for a Prophet Priest and King who could be seen as a symbol for the next Prophet Priest King who prophesies the coming of a future Priestly Military King who then conquers and establishes a) a Davidic throne physically or symbolically on our hearts, b) a messianic/heavenly kingdom of saints and perhaps c) a new earthly/heavenly temple before the return of messianic age of the Messiah, the Prophet Priest and King......... One may put it this way: one "son of man" being the forerunner for the other "son of man" who is then paving the way for the return of the one "like a son of man" coming next........

If you can accept it, during the time of Jesus, John the Baptist is anointed priest and prophet Elijah. During that time, Jesus could be seen as both Joshua son of Joseph and zerubabbel son of David. In the end times, we know that there are two witnesses who are golden lamp stands - one a priest and one a prophet... then there’s a ruler, a male child...and a conqueror... possibly four distinct figures, if you can accept it! (Revelation 11, 12, 19)

Wow. I had to listen twice just to be able to follow thinking about multiple messiahs. I've done in-depth literature study & loved it, but never this deep in the Bible or with the materials available for you, gentlemen. I'm jealous!! 😊 On the lineage of Jesus Christ: I was always taught that 2 gospels give the parental genealogy: His legal father (Matt.) & also His mother (Luke). Joseph's lineage was Matthew 1:1-16. Luke 2:4-5 states simply Joseph was of the lineage of David, but then in Luke 3:23-38, Mary's lineage is given past Abraham, back to Adam. There are major differences in Luke & Matthew's linages, which is attributed to the differences of Joseph & Mary. I will watch the 1st podcast and then relisten to this 2nd one. Luke doesn't give Mary's genealogy. He gives Joseph's genealogy from Nathan. If you want to know more, read "Jesus: The Incarnation of the Word" (2021)

​@@davidmitchell265 i heard of a possible explanation to the different genealogies, which really made a lot of sense to me. It says that Solomon probably had relations with his brother's (Nathan) wife after his death. This would be possible following a levitical law, that says that if someone (a man) dies without leaving any descendants, the brother of this person (that died) is supposed to sleep with the person's wife. That would then mean that Solomon slept with Nathan's wife to give him descendance. Like this Yeshua would be biologically from David's and Solomon's line, but legally from Nathan's line. This makes a lot of sense

I've grown up being told both parents lineage were presented since the father is the legal line, but in Jesus case, being a virgin, Mary's line would be important to be included. This has opened my eyes to so much in the scriptures! So many pieces are falling into place. It explains why Gen 37 and 38 intertwines the stories of Joseph and Judah. Now, the Lord had been showing me there was something special about Ephraim (son of Joseph) from Jeremiah 31 ““They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son.” I was wondering about how Ephraim could be the firstborn son. It seemed like a messianic title. And Ephraim is Joseph’s firstborn son. So if Messiah is Ben Joseph, then Ephraim also typifies Messiah! Then when God tears part of the kingdom away from Solomon he gives it to Jeroboam the Ephraimite the houses of Joseph and Judah are separated yet their stories are intertwined through the Kings. Then in the Messianic passage of Isaiah 11 it says this “12He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. 13Ephraim’s jealousy will vanish, and Judah’s enemies will be destroyed; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim.” Messiah will unite both houses of Judah and Joseph because he is the son of both, I believe. I feel as though I have just scratched the surface but it’s so exciting because I was just praying for answers this week and here they are!!!! Glory to God!

I think that there's another distinction between Joseph's suffering and David's; whereas David suffered due to his own sins, where Joseph suffered without a cause of his own.

This is false, and here's why: Psa. 105:19 says God tested Joseph while he was in prison. He wouldn't have done that unless there was a character flaw that God wanted to weed out of Joseph before making him the prime minister of Egypt. Joseph had a bit of a pride problem, and it shows itself in Gen. 37:5-10, 40:13-14. That is why God made the butler forget about him for 2 yrs.

I see Josephs suffering, in solitude, rejected by his brothers, prisoner/slave to foreigners in a foreign land, like a picture of the Lost Sheep of Israel who are still in exile/diaspora. The ones who have been rejected by their own (like the Messiah also), beaten up and left for dead, sold into slavery, "eaten by the wolves" etc.. BUT Abba upholds him (them) with His strong hand, his rightous arm and turns the evil to good, setting him (them) up in a high place in safety - as with the Messiah 🥰

I can understand that. Visual aids are always helpful. This teaching on Messiah "types" is rarely if ever discussed among Christians. Its very easily misunderstood as a few of the comments indicate. Its a blessing to be able to listen to a video like this over and over until those wonderful 'ah hah' moments come. I don't know if you know this but you can click on the transcript and read the words being said. The closed caption program that types the transcript can get a word wrong occasionally.. but you'll get thru it just fine. I have learned much from these presentations! This is my 3rd time watching through it! But I wanted to share something that I'm not sure I have commented on just yet. I believe these Scriptures make the Messiah Son of Joseph becoming the Messiah Son of David ever so clearer. Please bear in mind, I did not go searching for these texts. This just came up during my devotional reading one morning, and the timing was perfect because your first video on this topic had just come out!!! But they represent Mattei Lēwī: Lion, King (eternal havenly glory) Yōchānān Markus Ox/Steer/Kerūb, hard working Animal and Servant or slave (temporal earthly glory) Lukas human, true human (halfeternal, temporal glory) Yōchānān eagle, true God from the heavens, overlook from above (eternal glory) Written by 2 Apostles and eyewitnesses and 2 Prophets, who where no eyewitnesses. At least 2 or better 3 whitnesses at a Court, especially for a deathsentence. We have the minimum doubled and squared.

I love discussions like this!! Check out Isaiah 53:4-8 which also states that the Messiah was afflicted. The Tractate Sanhedrin, the commentary by rabbis regarding Isaiah 53 says: …”Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did ESTEEM HIM A LEPER; smitten of God, and afflicted.” He is SO despised and outcast, He is considered a leper. Interesting. To me, this takes His rejection to a more extreme level. Taken outside of the walls to be crucified, rejected by His own people in a such a repugnant way….He did not come first as the KING… what they wanted…to rescue them from Roman power….He came to bear their sins and was crucified…hanging on a tree, accursed. His disciples fled (except for John). It was thought prior to the resurrection, that Satan had his victory but we know Christ had the ultimate victory!! He took the punishment also mentioned in Joshua 23:13…He bore the scourges and thorns promised to them as their punishment for disobeying God.

So just like in Zechariah he said the imagery of David and Joseph is in a single character I would say that could be why Moses intertwined the stories of Joseph and Judah’s progeny with the story of Tamar and Perez. They are linked

I had never considered the idea of 'Messiah ben Joseph' before. Thank you. And truly Jesus is Israel's 'Joseph'; a brother turned over to the Gentiles long ago, and who the majority of the Jewish people today believe is dead. This all corresponds to the 'woman' of Revelation 12, whose symbolism points back to the second of Joseph's dreams. Now the nation of Israel needs to be told that their 'Joseph' is not dead, but working behind the scenes (through current events) to bring His brethren to repentance. This message may not be popular with the Jewish people. OFI may even be accused of wishing hardship upon Israel. But it's the word of God, and He will use it to save souls.

The woman who delivered a baby king was Mary, not Israel. While Israel keep not humbling themselves and still think they are the center of everything they will stay blind to the truth. Jesus came to preach to the people of Israel, be rejected by them and save the whole word. He built his church, not with Israel but everyone who believes him, there is no Israel as people of God today, but a Catholic (Universal) church who is not only his people but his bride and his body. I know one day people of Israel will stop listening to those rabbis and listen to the Messiah God Jesus, becouse it is a prophetic word for that, until there any jew or non jew that wants to be saved will have to humble and join the body of Christ through faith in his death and resurrection.

Wow my mind has just been blown! Thank you! Also, remember that the only two who entered the promise land from the ones that came out of Egypt were Caleb and Joshua. Caleb comes from the tribe of Judah (his father was actually a convert) and Joshua comes from the tribe of Ephraim which is from Joseph. These two were the only two who entered from the original ones that came out, everyone else was born in the desert.

Hear me out before you make a decision…when God tells Moses to go up the mountain to see the promise land, God tells him to look in all directions. Ohh. Just had a thought while listening. The multiple promises about what appear to be different messiahs is like a couple of the feasts. We all connect Yeshua’s death in the cross to Passover. However, there are so many elements of Yom Kippur that seem to directly link to His atoning death and the forgiveness of sin. People would argue Yeshua didn’t do anything on earth during Yom Kippur. Maybe in the heavenly realm he carried his blood into the temple above and completed the Yom Kippur rituals there. I just see that there is a similarity with this and the separate messiahs. When you look at what is done by the High Priest on Yom Kippur, you can sure picture our High Priest, Yeshua fulfilling these in the Heavenly Temple. Does that mean he won’t do something on earth to fulfill it when he returns? No, of course not. He could do both.

As far as what I said, it is also speculation. You can’t consider it as a possibility because you have this idea that it ‘has to be fulfilled in the Fall or when Messiah returns.’ So much of the imagery of Yom Kippur is very much what we believe Yeshua did with his sacrificial death. It would have been in the Heavenly Realm not in earth. I’m surprised you can’t see that.

Now that an argument has been made for 4 types of Messiahs, transfer seems to be the missing component. Priest to Christ seems to happen with John the Baptist. who is form Aron's line. The Prophet to Christ on the Mound of Transfiguration. The transfer form Joseph to Christ seems to happen in Psalm 78, which does close a lot of gaps left open for Joseph's tribe by way of Gen 49:22-26 blessing by Jacob. It seems to be important for jesus to be the messiah of both the northern kingdom and the southern to have the bloodlines for both. IT also seems to me that it would be hard for the southern kingdom to accept a messiah from the north.

The Bible does not teach this anywhere, and whoever takes this scholar's word for it is a fool. The genealogy traces Christ's heritage specifically to Judah. Christ is prophesied to sit on the throne of _David_ , not Jeroboam. Ppl are allowing themselves to be deceived by that guy's reasoning because he sounds knowledgeable, but he's a fool who also think that there are other Messiahs.
