I'm about to get stung by the new "sin" tax next week. 11% + 7.75% = 18.75% tax on my upcoming purchase. That adds up to $93.75 + $100. FFL handling / transfer/paperwork fee because it's an out of state purchase. A $500 purchase now adds up to $693.75 🤬

I cleared the last 30 day period by an hour and got delayed and had to wait another month just to start my 10 day period. 40 days total they made me wait for my rifle. Got a CZ75b like 2 seconds after my 30 day period after that and went through no issues. Goes to show they really don’t want us owning AR 15s 😂

Two points: The 11% tax does NOT affect active nor retired law enforcement. They are exempt from this mark-up. Thank a Democrat politician for this. The transaction code law is simple to defeat. Go to the ATM and withdraw cash. Pay for guns and ammo with cash.

But the bottom line is simply this, if you buy $100 worth of ammunition, the tax on the ammunition's going to be 25 dollars; $10 of ammo is $2.50 tax $500 dollars is going to cost $125 dollars in tax. They made me pay that extra tax because I had to wait 30 days to buy another gun then the 10 day cool down period. In California if you pay cash they still take down all your information so it’s not much different than a credit card payment at this point. Even with ammo they take down so much information to the point that they take your fingerprints or they can’t sell it to you.

I can actually answer the 11% but it started as of 10 days ago. I don’t even know how that’s legal but if you bought a firearm and the 10 day waiting period didn’t come before the 30th you had to pay the 11%. So if you bought the 25tb because the pick up date is on the 5th you had to pay the additional 11% tax. Source I saw this happen here in California the day it happened Gavin always really knows how to make you feel like your state has hit new lows, it’s depressing.

Copper Jacket tv, I have a question about the 40 day wait law. Okay when California does a background checks for buying ammunition it takes under 3 minutes. Why does an ammunition check clear in less than 5 minutes, and how does the background check fir buying a gun take up to 40 days? Are two separate background checks done, one for buying guns, and a different one for buying ammunition? Can you please explain this to me? Please and Thank You.

With the .30 cent a mile driving tax they are kicking around, the 11% is going to be much more painful. Then there’s some malarkey with basing utility rates on income, so….there’s certainly no representation for the folks that are actually paying the tax bills.
