So hot in townsville the grass is getting dehumidification 😂

Being a tropical boy, I've been loving the humidity and heat up Yandina North Arm way. It's my ideal weather. You see, when the temp goes below 25C, I start to feel the cold. I live in a rooftop tent, so I experience relative outdoor temps. I still sleep under a -15c insulated sleeping bag. We got a brilliant storm a few nights back. Three trees within 100 metres of me got hit by lightning.

@Irldoge I've lived in the far west and the far north. I can deal with that. Glorious. You just need to get outside.

Thank you Josh! That format of cyclones first is certainly much more convenient for me, at any rate. I wonder how others feel about it?

Hi Josh, Benny from the Atherton Tablelands here, sorry mate but 'Access - C model got it completely wrong for this afternoon, we have a tiny shower just east of Malanda, that's it. Yesterday (thurs) was extremely intense, massive amounts of lightning, hail and gale force gusts. Nothing here today at 16:40pm just hot n humid. I trust the Ecmwf model here more. Otherwise I love your work, please keep it up, myself and alot of my friends and clients watch you every day! Cheers

Yeah here in Newcastle, we've had some bad weather with obviously more to come. Infact, we recorded 120km/h gusts at our airport here which was the highest in the state at the time. I live up on a big hill so it is insanely scary, all i could here was the roar going over the top of the roof. Infact, as I am typing this, I can still here a slight roar as we are currently getting 70km/h gusts; still damaging level. We also have a park right next to us with a playground and a canopy over the top of it. I have a fear of it ripping or taking off in strong winds. I'm surprised it help up in 120km/h winds with no damage anywhere really, it's a miracle. But it's a weird fear. Anything to do with flags, banners or wind. Does anybody else have this?

Thanks Josh. Not looking forward to Monday/Tuesday for us here in Perth. 🥵 No aircon sucks hard. Although it wont affect us, it's cool to see that the cyclone (T/low) will track down to Perth latitudes. Too bad we wont get any rain out of it.

Could any of that tropical downpour up north have a cyclonic connection? The only slight possibility I can see is coming from the posited depression in the Gulf and the track it takes. I remember two historically established tracks, both carrying their own implications for rainfall. The first would take the depression due south following the Q'ld/NT border. This track has beneficial implications for the graziers of Western Q'ld and possibly even Lake Eyre, always a major boost for tourism and with it the economy! The second track would be the more typical, S.E. across the base of Cape York and into the Coral Sea. From there it can be a guessing game. Very often, the cyclone re-intensifies before taking aim at NZ but other tracks are not unknown.
