Footage of severe thunderstorms producing high winds, small hail and frequent lightning in northern Missouri on March 5th, 2022.
Numerous supercell thunderstorms formed over northwestern Missouri during the late afternoon on March 5th, 2022, and quickly tracked across the state during the evening while gradually congealing into a severe squall line. The storms produced large hail, high winds, and nearly continuous cloud-to-cloud and intracloud lightning.
This was part of the same severe weather outbreak which spawned multiple damaging/deadly tornadoes in Iowa. Unfortunately, I was working in St. Louis until about 2:30 pm, so I wasn't able to make it all the way up to Iowa in time for the tornadoes. No tornadoes were reported in Missouri.
