I live in Fort Myers and stayed in my house during Ian, because we were assured that the storm was going north up to Tampa. The eye went right over me. Almost lost everything. Everyone between me and the beach was destroyed. Has anyone apologized for that? 😮

this fella is a good communicator. should wear a baseball cap with NO BS on it. so many of these podcasters are just either full of theirselves or full of excrement. this guy doesn't mince or waste words. the saffir-simpson scale is stupid at best. inconsistent bands of measurement for categories of intensity of winds. once you get up to 130 mph of wind it matters little if you are 128 or 132 mph. the s-s scale only serves to distort the difference between the categories so that people who work with them everyday know the parameters, and only serve to confuse the general public. cat 1 is 20 mph wide, then cat 2 is 14 mph wide, then cat 3 is 18 mph wide, then cat 4 is 26 mph wide. stupid.

Storm chasing should be against the law but it’s not so that means the law does not care because if they did they would not let anybody be out trying to chase a hurricane because it’s very stupid and dangerous and it’s nothing to brag about.
