This is wonderful, but I will need to adjust it to add a Crossbody strap, and also a pocket on the side for my cell phone. I want to use it to carry water for my plein air painting mostly. But the insulation will be a bonus, because I also carry a bottle of ice water when I go shopping! Bingo!

Hi Deby - what a great project! I started some "production" sewing at the weekend making 3 of these for 3 work colleagues - expectant mums, just finished them this evening. They match jelly roll tote bags (shabby fabrics) also made. To anyone thinking of making this - go for it. I didn't have the basting spray so it made turning the first one and pushing the lining down so much harder than it needed to be. Sew for the 2nd & 3rd I took a little time and did some giant hand basting and with invisible thread I put a couple of stitches to keep the batting fixed to the fabric on the edges you don't sew - so much easier to turn and tuck in! Thanks again Deby, my next one is going to be for my adult son to take drink to his Sunday football matches.

What measurements did you use for this? I'm trying at home with regular Dr.Browns bottles but I can't figure out how long to make the fabric. Did you just like measure the bottle and then add like 6 inches or something?? Please and thanks!! So cute😁

if i want to add a carrying strap where is the best placement of it to sew it in?

Hi there - I'm no expert but because this project can be quite bulky, I'd be tempted to sew the strap on the ouside of the finished warmer, centre it between the ends of the casings? You could do one continous strap or alternatively sew two small tabs with D rings and the longer length attached with lobster claws. But, as this one is quite compact and is for a baby bottle why not just make the ties really long? Perhaps you have figured this out by now, if not good luck and if you have - well done, isn't it cute?

+Ornella Day I ended up sewing one end of a strap between the casings and a velcro part between the other casing. it worked good. its to strap to a diaper bag.
