Sew & Chat while Making Pillowcases...using the Burrito Method!

Tonight, I'm going to chat for a bit and then we'll dive into making a pillowcase following the 'burrito' method! This weekend, I'm planning to make a few pillowcases for the Service Project ‪@SewYeah‬ is participating in! They're asking for us to send in pillow cases by the end of May so that they can donate them to the Ryan Smiles fundraiser to collect pillow cases for Foster Kids! What you made is actually a pillow sham. You do not have a flap inside to hold a pillow in it. You could do that by making the body longer, 2×plus flap, and hem a double folded other end. Then fold the whole body length up fold the flap area over the top, you can do two at once here, cut 21" or 21 1/2" wide 2× and sew just all the 4 sides. When you fold back the flap and turn your pillowcase out, rhe flap automatically goes inside and the cuff is on the top only. You can french seam with the flap inside, then turn it out, placing the flap around the top, and sew to enclose your raw edges.. I hope this wasn't too confusing.
