Tailoring machine for making clothing it will sew lite leather you just can't push it beyond it's capabilities for heavy leather a triple feed walking foot is best.

One of the best demonstration, what kind of paint did you used, you did a phenomenal job, I really like how it turned out, I can see some metalic in it, and the gloss is just perfect... Have you been considered to buy a walking foot adaptor for it, It works great for leather and heavy fabric..
