My sister and I have just discovered you in the last year and we both love all things “Lori Holt!” We think of you as our sister. Your designs and colors are all things we remember and love too. I’m 68 and she’ll be 65 in November. We learned to sew in Jr High in 4-H and home ec. and have been sewing and doing needlework ever since. I’m a retired home ec. teacher and loved passing on these skills to my students. She hopes to retire soon to have more sewing time too. We live about seven hours apart but call and text often about you, your videos, patterns, and especially your sewing room and your fabrics! She sent me a whole box of your things for my birthday. I was like a kid at Christmas! On my bucket list is to have all your sew simple shapes, my favorite being, Vintage Housewife. I love how you show us so many different ways to use each of them. I’m a girl who always lives outside the box! We so admire you and appreciate all you bring to us! Take care!❤️

Hi Lori and Kass, oh my goodness, I want to tell you a quick story. When I first got into quilting was January 2019. I began taking screenshots oh what I liked and hoped to sew when I understood the whole scope of stages. Yesterday, I went back to the beginning pictures in my album and there was Penny the Pig (!) along with all of your animals and everything you have done. Farm Girl Vintage 2 was the first book I bought. I did not realize that you could teach me everything I needed to know. Oh Lori - Thank you so much for doing a video on this block! I just love it!!! Was wondering if you would also consider doing a video on your beautiful Granny Square block. I have your book on great Granny Square block and absolutely love it and all the pics and ideas of all the different things you can do with this book like the pillows, table runners AND the beautiful quilt of course!
