In this sewing video, I am sharing with you my latest dressmaking project. I am partaking in the #sewatop challenge for 2020. This is a sewing vloggers challenge - everyone is allocated a day and then the vlogger makes a top and posts a review about it.

I love the Adrienne and have made 2 in viscose jersey. I didn’t think of making it in a cotton jersey and I absolutely love yours - I feel a cotton jersey project coming on.......! 😍😍😍😍❤️

I have always worried about using Jersey fabric but looking at your top and how nice it looks I'm going to give it a go. I actually think your top looks so much nicer than the photo on the pattern. There is no way I will be able to make it in 45 Min more like 45 hours but if it looks like yours I would be more than happy.

Hi, I;ve been following the sew a top challenge and what a lovely top! I have this pattern but have yet to make it as a top. I did a dress hack for it but it was from a slinkier bamboo knit but I think I would prefer to make it from a cotton spandex to keep all of that lovely sleeve volume. I definitely need to do a little batch sew of this soon! Also such a lovely fabric for your make too!

Amazing! I am just sewing my first Adrienne Blouse as I started to watch your Vlog! Well I had to laugh 😂 when you said you made it in 45 minutes - it is taken a bit longer for me, (3 days🤣) and now I am concentrating on how to attach the sleeve to the bodice where it meets the neckline. Jayne, your blouse is stunning. As a child of the 70’s, the big sleeves are not my cup of tea at all, remembering both 80’s all too well. But this, this has a nice balance of slim fit and blouse, it’s about to change my mind. not completely converted, but if I were to cave, this would be the one. ❤️. Maybe I could just cut the sleeve volume down a bit?

Yes you can totally do that on this pattern ..... there are options to shorten/lengthen them too x
