Thank you so much for this video. I believe something I’m doing is still wrong however, because the part that holds the bobbin case keeps falling out. How do I put that back in correctly? Everytime I start to sew it all falls apart.
@mysewbliss Жыл бұрын
Yea that means the casing is not in there correctly. There isn’t really a great way to explain how it supposed to be put in but I would say look at videos and pictures of it to see exactly how it’s done

Loved the threading tutorial, but cannot figure out how to attach the spool holder to the body of the machine. There is a tiny metal piece that secures it. Can you tell us about this? Thanks so much.
@mysewbliss10 ай бұрын
You do need that metal piece to keep the spool holder in place. If your missing that piece I would figure out an alternative or take it to a sewing machine repair shop and see if they have the part. Hope that helps!

Would like to know purpose of finger on bobbin case if you do not thread through the small hole in its end.

I’ve used this when changing the tension of the bobbin like if you wanted to created a shirred effect. But I don’t use it for my daily sewing

Hi.. I just found your video about threading the Bernina 430. First of all, great job! Truly, your pictures were awesome.. better than Bernina..I have had my 440 QE, for quite a few years now. Since 2006. Just now, after all these years and many many stitches later, I am having tension issues.. did you ever do a video about tension for this machine? I am trying to avoid taking it in, but maybe it's just time. Thanks for listening. Kate.
@mysewbliss11 ай бұрын
I haven’t done any videos dealing with the tension. I feel like I’m not really qualified to talk about it since I don’t work for the machine company or know really how to handle tension in an in-depth way. I’m so glad you found the threading video helpful! I would suggest taking it in if it’s not something basic
@KateBerggren11 ай бұрын
Ended up taking her in .. he discovered a 6” piece of thread coiled tight where the upper tension wheels come together.. ..serviced other things.. it is purring like a kitten. Like new….

With my machine it is recommended to have the pressure foot raised. It will separate the tension disk and thread tension will work easier.
@sandrawray35664 жыл бұрын
You did a great job explaining thread track
@noahriding5780 Жыл бұрын
Do older sewing machines of a same maker tend to thread the same? Or... maybe I should have worded it ... do makers tend to have most or all of their sewing machine models over the years tend to thread the same? And could you use this to figure out how to thread older models by using a younger model's instructions? Thanks.
@mysewbliss Жыл бұрын
Most sewing machines do thread very similarly! There can be small things that are different but once you get the idea of how to thread one, you can thread most

@pam3906 Жыл бұрын
Ok when you di this is the pressure for up? Needle up? No.one says that
@mysewbliss11 ай бұрын
When threading you always want the presser foot up so the tension is released for threading. Needle should be all the way up as well. Good question!

Hello - the tread broke and when I pulled it from the top of the machine - it broke inside the machine. Can you show me what to do to get the thread out? thanks

I usually just use tweezers or a needle to get the thread out. If you can’t you may need to take it to a repair shop!

Ha! Wait until you're my age. You'll want that dang automatic threader, and maybe several pairs of reading glasses because you can't thread a needle without them unless your arms are extremely long!
@mysewbliss4 жыл бұрын
Haha that’s true, I’m sure it is much trickier when you get older. Shoot even the girls I teach lessons in person to are always complaining about threading the needle and they are 9 years old 🤣🤣
@victoriabelmont62752 жыл бұрын
love the close ups.... so wish you had gone just a tad farther to show exactly how to get both threads to the back. I am thinking the lower thread just comes up and goes along the plate to the back and the upper thread goes into the notch and goes back. The book is not too clear. Everything else you did make up for Bernina's lack of clarity. Many thinks!!!

This automatic needle threader is complete bullshit. It makes things even more difficult and takes more time than just using your hand and a well-cut thread.
@mysewbliss Жыл бұрын
I never use the needle threader because of this! You have to make sure the needle is in the perfect position or it won’t work and could break so I totally understand!
