Hello Lucy, Thank you for the useful video. Can you tell me if you can sew a cuff on this machine, by removing part of the machine platform, that allows you put the cuff over the removed part to sew it easily. Thank you.

Hi Suzanne that facility isn't available on this model, but it is available on the 4234d which is the next model down. You can see a video for it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIfYZ3-bad1-rpY I wouldn't let it put you off though. None of the Baby Lock overlockers have a free arm, including the one I have, and you can move the bottom layer of fabric to the side as you sew you just have to be careful not to catch it. It depends what is most important to you in an overlocker, but I would say having air threading loopers far outweighs the free arm as an advantage, although the free arm is a nice to have if that makes sense? I’ve been researching this model and I read where the stitches weren’t consistent.

I have the Brother airflow 1800 and haven’t had any issues with the stitches not being consistent. I love this machine!
