Sewing a five thread stitch on a combination overlocker/coverstitch machine

I love a combination stitch, I’ve set up my machine to repair a shirt. Do you use a combination overlock /coverstitch machine ?

Thanks for this Kate. I especially love how you showed how you’d finish the start and end of the repair! Would you use this technique to construct a garment? I’m sure it depends on the garment, but as a general approach? My daughter has requested wide leg pants in a woven, non-stretch fabric. 😊

Hi Nicole Yes - I love using a 5 thread or 6 thread (chain stitch with a 4 thread overlock) on woven fabric when constructing garments
